Thank you so much for your encouragements! Indeed, back in the days of Vietnam - all the news the public received was filtered by an elite group of liberals who work and live together (with Walter Cronkite at the head). The internet, talk radio, cable and FoxNews have changed all that. We now have something more like the founders wanted: a Liberty Tree where people can post the "rest of the story" and their own views for everyone to see.

WALTER CRONKITE:

On the side of our Terrorist Enemy HO CHI MINH and against the Freedom of others during the Vietnam War

Called for our Southern States to secede from our Union at a London World Conference in year 2000

HILLARY's No. 1 Media Defensive Linebacker in her push for a return stint in our Oval Office in a new Time of War

The Enemy is now Within...
and always has been.

Browning, 56, of Paradise, Calif., and Weatherhead, 57, of Elk Grove, Calif., are grandfathers. They first flew combat missions in Vietnam, before most of the soldiers in the current Army were born. They and others their age are here with the National Guard's 42nd Infantry Division, which includes some of the oldest soldiers to serve in combat for the modern U.S. Army. Few soldiers or officers in the military, other than the service's top generals, are as old.

Gosh those dudes are older than me. :) Not much though, they would have been a junior and senior in High School when I was a sophomore.

I'm her to tell you folks, that was a long time ago. This is probably AT LEAST their third war.

1st Sgt. Patrick Olechny, 52, of Marydel, Del., an attack helicopter crew chief and door gunner in Vietnam from March 1971 to February 1972, says the most important difference to him is the attitude of the American public.

And we FReepers intend that it stays that way. See y'all in Crawford next week to let the troops know that we support them and what they are doing.

he doesn't really talk about it much.

Very common actually, even for WW-II vets. My mom was flabbergasted when my Uncle told me a few of his "Sea Stories". He was on a seagoing tug in the Pacific. and helped clean up the mess after a couple of the big battles (Philippine Sea and Okinawa I think) and one big ass hurricane.

I think that the fact I was a Captain in the USAF Reserve at the time helped somewhat. I'll bet he also talked with two of his 3 sons. One was an artilleryman in Vietnam, probably around 70 or 71. The other was a Navy machinist mate starting a year or so before his brother.
