Our correspondent Gene Allen reports that just a few minutes ago, an unidentified man telephoned the Yellow Rose Gift Shop in Crawford, Texas and said, "Your shop is going up in smoke, you better get out now." Law enforcement is on the scene.
Gene describes the Yellow Rose as "a pro-Bush gift shop with a Ten Commandments monument out front. It is located across the street from the Coffee Station, down the street from the Crawford Peace House."
I don't suppose any of those peace-loving folks would have anything to do with a bomb threat.

Those wacky anti-war peace protestors!
I think it is recent. I don't think Texas is on EST.
I hadn't thought of that, you are quite right!
Red it was just reported on another thread that only had about 8 posts on it.
Lets see how the main stream media reports this one.
I wonder what would happen if some of these "Peace" protestors came up missing?
Don't mess with Texas.
WHOA this first time I hear about it
I am not suprise these days those anti war freaks they getting very nasty not the 1960s with peace and love these days
That is because, at heart, most of them are marcxists and tyrant-wannabes. Socialsim is Marxism and Communism light, and it leads there. And both of those have been the root of some of the most horrific and murderous tyrannies in the history of this earth.
To me, it would not too surprising that the adherants and proponents of Cindy Sheehans hate-filled, anti-American messages, might ultimately resort to the same tactics as their allies...the inusrgent/terrorists.
I suspect they can trace the call. We will see.
"across the street from the Coffee Station"
******
Local Food & Water, you can order on the phone with credit card. Someone from Peace House will pick up, Coffee Station will deliver some orders of staples and such.
The Coffee Station (254) 486-2561

Fran Shelton, daughter of the owners of Crawford's only restaurant, the Coffee Station, said she thinks the growing crowds on Prairie Chapel Road indicate a well-organized network is working behind the scenes.
I think it is because she's being backed and directed by an organization of people out there like Michael Moore who are anti-war and anti-Bush, Shelton said. I personally think what she is doing is taking away from the honor of her son.
Shelton, who waits tables at the restaurant, said she has served meals to a lot of Crawford residents over the last week and she estimates 90 percent of them support the president and disapprove of Sheehan's protest.
I did a search. Is the post you referring to under the word for word heading of the article. I plead innocent!
Yes, but isn't it a pitiful commentary on their former bad boy status that they threaten gift shops?> Time was, they barked and people scattered. Now the best they can do is scare souvenir vendors? HAH. I laugh at their impotent tactics. They need their a**es beat with those huge plastic sunglasses.
That's it,Get the SS and FBI and get rid of these clowns. The good people of Crawford don't need this crap.
Back in the not so great 60s and 70s, it wasn't that uncommon for the so-called 'peaceniks' to lob rocks or bricks at the police, even if they weren't arresting anyone.

There was an article in the Ft. Worth Star Telegram TODAY that said that a man got permission from the owner of that Yellow Rose gift shop to set up Camp Qualls next to the gift shop in a vacant lot....
His son's name was on one of Cindy's crosses, and he drove to Crawford to pull it out and set up a Camp that is pro-Bush, pro-troops, and pro-Iraq war...
COINCIDENCE??????
"I suspect they can trace the call."
OPINION:
You're right.
Most calls can be traced.
Time for the FBI to clean house.
Sounds like the Mother Sheehan gang is getting more and more like the Religion of Peace every day.
