The libs can spin this for all they want
The bottom line is that Gorelick should NEVER have been on that panel
And she sure as heck should NEVER have been in the position to filter what the rest of the Commission was to or not to see
She should have been a witness
I remember sending Mr. Kean several emails about removing Ms. Gorelick from the commission and having her testify. I'm sure many others did here as well. We were told to "mind your own business." Now, if it turns out that Ms. Gorelick's staff or Ms. Gorelick herself was involved in covering up information, perhaps Mr. Kean will apologize (I doubt it though). Not only was Able Danger not included in the commission's report, but neither was the Mary-Jo White information or the 1996 warning memo to Clinton about OBL. When did the commissioner's know and when did they know it?
And to top it all off, the nerve of Gorelick and Ben Veniste to be as accusatory as possible to Rice! Remember that? And these are the people that we want to try and build bridges with???
GGorelick is a big shot attorney with a major Washington law firm. She is a member of the "old-boy"
network in that town and is widely
respected for her legal skills and as a "rain-maker" for her firm...they don't care about her politics. You'll notice how deferential Tom Kean was to her on the Commission.
Gorelick and others, should have been DEFENDANTS..
