Announcing the Fresno/Central Valley Chapter 4th Annual Rally and Tailgate Picnic Sept 9th and 10th, 2005
The Fresno/Central Valley Chapter cordially invites all FReepers in good standing to attend our 4th Annual Free Republic Rally and Tailgate Picnic to be held on Friday and Saturday, September 9th and 10th, 2005.
Our rally will begin at 5:00 pm and end at 7:00 pm on Friday night, at the corner of Blackstone and Shaw in Fresno. Afterwards, the group will gather for dinner and fellowship at a nearby restaurant (place to be announced).
Bring your flags, banners, signs, family and children. Prepare to support your country and enjoy the company of your good FReeper friends!
Our tailgate pot-luck picnic will be held this year at Kearney Park on Saturday, September 10th. We've reserved the "Tea House" picnic shelter for the full day. We'll probably start arriving about 1:00 or 2:00 pm and will BBQ and party till dark.
Kearney Park is located at 7160 W Kearney Blvd about six or seven miles west of downtown Fresno. You can get to the park by going west on highway 180 (Whites Bridge Rd to Grantland Ave then south to Kearney) or by taking the palm tree lined scenic Kearney Blvd from Fresno St (see map). There is a $4.00 entrance fee per car.
Note: The Kearney Mansion Museum will be open on Saturday for tours. See link.

; )
Remember to post pictures for us!
Good morning, A-G
Sorry for the ping .... you are on my list. :)
I will try to remember to remove your name the next time I ping everyone to the picnic. The good news is that after the 9th, I won't be pushing th picnic again until next year. :)
Hey .... maybe next year you can request vacation time to coincide with our picnic. It is scheduled for the second Saturday in September. :)
No problemo! I hope the picnic is fantastic for everyone!
This thread has been up all this time? Wonder how I missed it! LOL We will be there. I know you want ice, and if I want to find out what else I better check my freepmail, right? You know how I am! :-)
Finally will see you again! I haven't even seen you up here at the local functions! Where have you been keeping yourself?
Hey ..... I put you down for drinks, ice and salad. What kind of salad would you like to bring?
I can try to make it... I'm booked until 5pm... will things be going past 5:30?
Here is the new thread
Are you coming this year?
Being as you forgot all about the picture, I could see your new haircut in person!
I remember you almost made it last year.
Dr. Zoo wants to meet you...
Have any pictures of the picnic been posted. been looking for days
No one started an after picnic thread. :(
I didn't take any pictures this year but Jkphoto did.
Hey .... Mamabear ..... maybe you could post a few pictures on the picnic thread?
Newfrp04 .... if we get pictures posted, we will ping you.
Amy, did you get the link to the website with the photos that JK took? He was supposed to freepmail them to all who attended the picnic.
Thanks for posting the picture. Many of us who could not attend were wondering how the picnic turned out.
I finally got the chance to look at the link. The pictures turned out great. It looks like 6 or 8 people left before the group picture was taken.
I thanked JK for the link but I didn't feel comfortable posting any of his pictures without asking. I did steal a couple of the kids, though. :)
I had thought that Jim would post a thread; I think he took some pictures.
Newfrpr04 ... we had about 34 people; the weather and the food were both awesome. Hope you will be able to join us next year.
Here is one taken at the rally of PrissyMissy that I added the Pledge to.....
