***Conversation With Crawford Texas Patriot*** (Interview by Syncro)

Crawford Texas is booming today.

There are about 100 motorcycles with riders in town today, Bush Supporters all. The town is thrilled at the attention and is filled with visitors and locals.

I just got off the phone with Mrs. Kaye Bregan whose husband Bill is a woodcarver. He was too busy to talk to me as he is in front of his house having his picture taken with the wooden Eagle he carved and placed in front of his house on 5th street in Downtown Crawford.

Their house is on the route that President Bush takes whenever he leaves the ranch, and he has passed by their house many times.

After the Election last November Mr. Bregan made a sign that said "YES!" and stuck it into the mouth of the Eagle to celebrate the reelection of President Bush. Shortly thereafter when the family happened to be in front of the house the President's Motorcade came by and President Bush saw the "YES!" in the eagle's mouth and he rolled down the window and gave the family a thumbs up.

Mrs. Bregan mentioned that the President often waves to them, but this is was the first time he rolled down the window and gestured to them.

The Bregan's Daughter from Dallas was visiting and she was thrilled at the gesture as were Mr. and Mrs. Bregan.

Mrs. Bregan related to me that years ago when she was younger that Crawford was a bigger town; it even had 3 grocery stores and a movie theater. Now it doesn' t have either, not even one grocery store. But it is not far to the next town--- 7 miles --- to get the supplies residents need in the way of groceries and staples.

The Peace Center is just down the street and I was told that there is usually activity there, with protesters outside it on a daily basis.

Our Rally on Saturday August 27 is at the Community Center about a half mile away on another street by the High School. Far enough away from the Anti-America "Peace" center, but close enough they will hear us for sure.

Bill and Kaye are ardent supports of President Bush and our efforts in Iraq to quell terrorism, and of course support out troops 100% as do most of the residents of Crawford and the outlying areas.

My reason to call her was because I thought they lived in a Rural area of Crawford, as I wanted to find some Bush Supporting Rancher to let us use their ranch for a BBQ on Sunday, the day after our rally at the Community Center.

I guess we will just have to settle for having it at Bush's ranch. Could someone give them a call and have them haul the BBQ to a nice shady area for us?

The Column in the Chicago Sun Times very accurately sets forth the reasons for Cindy Sheehan's behavior and why it is not resonating with the US Public. First Cindy does not speak for all of the parents. She speaks for a minority of the parents.
Could you imagine the US Media in WW2 demanding to know from FDR what was our exit strategy? Or why the War was taking so long? Or why the war was costing so much? What if we had not dropped the Atomic Bombs on Japan? And had lost one million American Dead, and ten million wounded?

We have lost less than 2000 Soldiers in Operation Iraqi Freedom. Cindy Sheehan is buddies with groups supporting the
Terrorists who did kill her Son. She is a prejorative Liar.
ABC has produced her diatribe letter to Ted Koppel. Her PR Campaign for the extreme Left is not working.

Regardless of your party we cannot cut and run. The results would be disasterous. Also calling our troops "Children" is another semantics game of the MSM to conclude that those who volunteer to serve are not mentally competent. It is insulting to those Patriots who do serve. It is the same old Leftist tactics with a new spin. It is in fact a fraud.

The problem the extreme left has to attack the Troops without appearing to directly attack them. So they insist they were hoodwinked or bamboozeled. That they are all low income. That the Members of Congress have no family in the War. There are 5 at least who have children in the Military. Duncan Hunter's Son is a Marine. Because of the web the MSM no longer has a monopoly on information and opinion.

With so much of the Left and especially the Press pool writing articles with the mantra "If it Bleeds it Leads" and no stories of heroism, sacrifice, humanity, or improvement and progress it is no wonder our Fighting Men and Women see the Terrorists and the Media at home as being partners.

those who volunteer to serve are not mentally competent.

This has been bothering me for some time. Below, I have cut and pasted a comment, from a link provided on another thread, that explains their "thought process" or tyrannical dictatorial demands and tactics.

"Why did the Bush Administration and the UK tell lies in order to orchestrate a war where more civilians would be lured into a national service training program, such as the army?"

These commies have gone completely and totally insane.

I doubt you'll see much in the MSM but here is a shot of some riders passing by the Camp Casey area.

PRO-WAR bikers numbering around 60 or 70 paraded past Camp Casey Saturday morning in favor of President Bush and supporting troops.

Syncro, I was at the Caravan Rally this morning in Vacaville and drove to Sacramento to Channel 10. When I was there I met a wonderful young soldier named Greg Parkinson who just arrived here from Iraq and is on leave for 14 days. He gave me his e-mail address and I lost it.
I'd like to get in touch with him or have him get in touch with me. Thanks anyone for your help. Beth Barnat from Winters, CA (bethtopaz@yahoo.com / 530-902-4333)

We reminisced about Baez's nice voice

My dad - a USMC Korea combat vet, and USAF Vietnam vet - has this to say about Baez. "Damn, but that b*tch can sing."

God bless you Lei and your son Jensen for all you are doing for our great country. Please thank him for his service because he's truly appreciated. Thank you for raising a young man who understands the gift of freedom and the sacrifices necessary to preserve it. Your family is in my prayers, may God shield Jensen and his brothers and sisters thoughout their service so they may return to us soon.

I plan on visiting "The Yellow Rose" and "Camp Qualls" and it would be an honor to meet you.
