"We don't want to debate with people who don't understand our point of view."

Here I thought the whole idea of debate was to get others to see your point of view

They should put up crosses for victims of terrorism.

They kept replacing the cross with Mr. Qualls' son's name on it? How absolutely despicable. They have no respect for anyone.

[Qualls gained attention last week when he went to Sheehan's camp, which has hundreds of crosses as a tribute to troops killed, and removed one bearing his son's name. But he said protesters keep replacing it; he has yanked two more crosses, saying the protesters' views are disrespectful to soldiers.]

This illustrates one of the biggest things wrong with the whole war protest crowd. They believe they speak for everybody when they only speak for a minority, and they pretend that they have the moral legitimacy to erect crosses bearing the names of ALL fallen soldiers even when (as is true with Casey Sheehan) the view of nearly all our military is that what we are doing in Iraq is justified and morally right.

There are fewer things more arrogant than speaking for others without their consent, especially when they're no longer alive to speak for themselves, and claiming moral solidarity with people who are 100% opposed to your views.

The need to put a big sign up saying: "we support our President and the Troops so the national media ignore us". Because you know old media will not give this parent near the attention it gives their anti-war hero, Ms. Cindy. Shameful bias -- expected of course, but shameful none-the-less.

Did anyone see this: "Soldiers Against Cindy Sheehan"

http://soldiersagainstcindysheehan.blogspot.com/2005/08/there-has-been-much-in-news-lately-on.html

I just emailed the link to my local TV news room. They will probably ignore it but at least they will know about it.

"We don't want to debate with people who don't understand our point of view."

Kind of sums up the whole liberal viewpoint, doesn't it?

"We're asking for a meeting with the president, period," said Michelle DeFord, whose 37-year-old son, Sgt. David W. Johnson, ... when he was killed in Iraq last fall.

So this is one of the "kids," "children," "boys and girls" being ripped from their mothers and forced to serve and die in the military?

Qualls gained attention last week when he went to Sheehan's camp, ... and removed one bearing his son's name. But he said protesters keep replacing it;

This is the most despicable action by these communist tools yet. They do not care about their dead family member. They only care about their politics and their desired defeat of PRESIDENT and the USA.

There needs to be a lawyer down there to file cease and desist orders, or whatever, on behalf of these families.

"We don't want to debate with people who don't understand our point of view."

LOL!!! Yeah, kinda hard to speak to people that know the Truth and will fight you with the facts. How do you respond? The best you can come up with is screaming Freedom of Speech! and calling them Nazi's in rebuttal.

Qualls gained attention last week when he went to Sheehan's camp, which has hundreds of crosses as a tribute to troops killed, and removed one bearing his son's name. But he said protesters keep replacing it; he has yanked two more crosses, saying the protesters' views are disrespectful to soldiers.

Why don't they just replace the cross with the name of the guy that lost the race in Ohio? Put Kerry's name down there too. Sure, they are alive, but at least they won't haunt you from the grave for sullying their good name by using it in an anti war demonstration.

"If I have to sacrifice my whole family for the sake of our country and world, other countries that want freedom, I'll do that," said Qualls, a friend of the local business owner who started the pro-Bush camp, Bill Johnson.

Bless Him and his Family.

It's a pity that Casey Sheehan, a heroic American, will probably go down in history, not for his gallant efforts, but for the fact that he had a demented mother.

Casey deserves better.

Which US GOP Senators are going to Crawford?
They have the time off work and can well afford to buy airline tickets.
Which GOP Governors will be in attendance?
The next President of the United States will be there
and I'll vote for him or her
because they supported our troops when they need it the most.

cross post from another thread ~ War Backers Start Camp Near Bush Ranch

Hey all y'all....check it out!!

A tent is being set up for the benefit of supporters of President Bush and the troops in front of the Yellow Rose in Crawford (at the intersection of highways 317 and 185.) The owner, Bill Johnson is an acquaintance of President Bush and wanted to provide a clearing house for Bush supporters who come to the area and wish to find out what's happening, how to organize, etc. Johnson said this group is trying to serve God and country. They plan a candlelight vigil Saturday next, in the evening, around the large angel silhouette on the tent site. They are calling the area Ft. Qualls, in honor of a fallen soldier whose father lives in Temple, Texas and supports President Bush and the war effort.

THIS ANGEL MARKS THE SPOT of the area where supporters of President Bush and the war effort may gather. It is adjacent to The Yellow Rose.

BILL JOHNSON (second from right) and others work to set up the area called Ft. Qualls

CONCESSION AND MUSIC — Anthony Farr, disabled army veteran (by a car bomb in Baghdad, from Bryant, Ark., but now living at Ft. Hood Hospital) is in charge the concession stand and music in the trailer next to Ft. Qualls.
