I agree IMHO he has served his country well and come January 2009 it is time for him go search those rivers and streams he speaks fondly of and of course spend more time with his grandchildren that no doubt he wishes to pass on a love of history and current affairs as he did with his own children.

As much as I would love for him to become president, he knows the politics of this country thoroughly. He knows the American people are not likely to elect a man who has had four heart attacks. Sad, though, because it's a great loss to the nation IMHO. But at least we've had him as VP.

If his papers and effects do eventually wind up at the University of Wyoming with a museum associated with them, would you perhaps make the trip from England to visit there?

Wyoming is one of the places on my list to visit so yes I do intend to visit that State regardless; the countryside looks wonderful in the photos, Colorado as well obviously at present travel is out but one day in the future I am definitely going to visit the States again.
