Your English is charming. Thank you for sharing, and good luck in your studies.
My dear.....you are a class act...in any language.
Have a wonderful time in our country. If you have time, go somewhere other than the big cities. See West Virginia, or rural Pennsylvania or the horse farms in Virginia.
Regardless, enjoy yourself and enjoy your youth and your education. You will obviously do well in whatever endeavor you choose.
You are so cute. My Grandfather left Palermo when he was 18 and never went back to Italy. He said he loved this country and did not want to go back. Anyway I would love someday to visit Sicily with my kids, who are 100% Italian on both sides.
Thank you for your story about your visit to our country. I wish you "buono futuro" with your studies and much happiness.
Ciao Bella!
My great grandfather was from Genoa.......thanks for your post.
Next time try to get out in the red states. I think you will find true American spirit and the backbone of our beloved nation.
:o)
Trust me, your meaasge is clear because your heart is open and your understanding is wise beyond your years. Your English will improve, I doubt your spirit has room to improve. Thanks for being our guest, please come back.
Claudia, as usual, you are just adorable! I hope you had a great time. I often travel to Washington DC and find that city quite fascinating. It is a different kind of American city. Anyways, your observations are very much appreciated. Next time, come on down to Miami, Florida. South Beach to be exact, a girl your age would do quite well here :)
Thank you for your kind words. I am glad your visit contained some meaningful moments. Perhaps in the future you may have an opportunity to return to this land to further explore what makes up America. A melting pot of the world's ethnic and religious communities.
Glad to hear you enjoyed your visit to the U.S.! Thanks for sharing it with us!
Thanks Claudia! Italians helped create this great country. We would not be the same without you. Hope you visit again soon!
Don't wear that funny white cowboy hat, and we can get hitched... :D hehe
"What can I say about America? Your land is a wonderful one. I felt home there. People were always so kind with me, I mean with an Italian young lady who is a little bit shy: they always tried to make me friend.
I love America. I liked America before my trip, but now I really love Her. Her way to live, her way to face matters. When I arrived in New York City I was, of course, a little bit scared of terrorism because of September 11th
But if you spend ten minutes (just ten minutes)in the Big Apple you forget who Bin Laden is. NewYorkers are really brave people: they live and smile and laugh and go on. Yes, at the World Trade Center the atmosphere is not happy, but you can breathe air of Patriotism there. And thats touching."
The following graphic shows the individual counties (also in red) that you would feel at home in:
Come back soon, come back often!
Claudia,
In reality, you sound more American than a great many Americans in the news lately. So, in my mind, I'm going to consideer you an honorary American. I'm sure that many other FReepers feel the same way about you.
Thank you for your thoughts.
You have seen a very small slice of the wonderful things in America. There is so much to see in this country you could spend a lifetime taking in all of its wonder ( and some people do just that ).
I wish everyone could visit this country just once in their lifetimes, because for many of them , they would see a country so different than they may have been told or shown.
There are many beautiful places on this earth, but no place offers you as much as America.
Thanks for your wonderful post. Good luck with your studies and come back again.
I one day would like to visit your country. If the people there are as wonderful as you, it would no doubt be an incredible journey.
We're glad you enjoyed your visit here; thank you for writing.
