My sis-in-law - the one Nana is visiting - does hers cowboy style all the time. Her hubby won't drink it any other way.

You just boil the grounds in a pot of water, then serve when it's the right texture...'bout the time a horseshoe floats in it is when it's the best!

I love strong coffee but the taste needs to be clear. Cowboy style sounds a tad on the bitter side.

Did you mean the right texture or the right color? You don't want the spoon standing up in the java, right?

Speaking of cowboy style coffee...I use a French Press that gives the same strong, hot coffee but allows one to push the grounds to the bottom. I love coffee like that.
