The two major antiwar coalitions that have initiated and organized for a massive antiwar March on Washington for September 24 have agreed to organize a joint rally followed by a joint march. Both coalitions will organize under their own banners, slogans and with their own literature for the September 24 demonstration. The joint rally will begin at 11:30 am at the Ellipse in the front of the White House. We urge everyone around the country to unite and come out for the largest possible antiwar demonstration on September 24.

I would love to go. I don't see anything about La. FReepers headed there. We went to the rally on the 13, and are going to the one in Crawford next weekend, but, I'll be pushing my hubby more than he wants to be pushed if I start in about the one next month. I don't think he'll cotton to me riding a bus that far.

Watch for the "Free Mumia" freaks, "Free palestine" freaks, CPUSA types, "Free Peltier" types, and last but not least, the "Free the West Memphis 3" wackos. I saw that sign at the Oct 2001 rally. I didnt even know who they were until I looked them up, they are 3 nuts who kidnapped and mutilated a couple of kids in Arkansas in the 90's..
Makin' up clever slogans for signs in eager anticipation. Old North State FReepers will be well represented!

They are demanding we abandon the Iraqis (sound familiar?) and bring the troops home NOW.

WE MUST NOT ALLOW THIS TO HAPPEN AGAIN!!!
Please, please, search FR and look for those from your area and make every attempt to come to DC on Sept. 24th to SUPPORT OUR TROOPS and counter the despicable commies as they lay siege to our nations Capital.
Perhaps caravans could be formed for the trip. If there are enough interested a bus may be in order. There are camp grounds not far from DC if that would be a help to anyone. We claim to be the majority - it is time to prove it!
