Hagel must have had his head up Kerry's butt. Or has been asleep for the past year. Out binge drinking with Teddy perhaps... Actually, each premise of yours is correct.
I think Hagel saw the polls that had his Presidential chances in decimal points, not digits.

Of what constructive purpose are Hagel's comments? I cannot possible fathom why Hagel would talk like this. How does it help American security when this putz shoots off his mouth like this!
Throw Hagel Out!

1-202-224-4224: I just told Hagel's staffer these are the people who took over our embassy and are
getting nuclear weapons to nuke us with--we don't talk with these people. I suggested it was the senator
posturing for a presidential run, but it is a disservice to the nation's security.

Hagel and Mccain are an interesting pair.
Hagel is nearly 100% relibale on domestic issues, but acts like a liberal on foreign policy.
McCain on the other had is a RINO on doesmtic issues, but is quite hawkish on foreign policy.
Cut them in half and past them togther and you'll have a very conservative effective senator, the scraps can be tossed out
To: atlanta67
Interesting. I have not monitored Hagel's domestic positions.
