What a dopey comment. - not dopey at all, that was my exact feeling as I read these post, lots of people with mean spirited comments specifically re gays.
People don't know if it's serious or not. Maybe they shouldn't be joking until they know more. If he made that point, he'd be correct.
But his comment was that people would think it was cute and funny after they found out people were dead in the streets.

We don't like militant activist homo-leninists on this sight much, and there are a lot of them in SF, so that would be why people are making comments.

My only point was you'd think others would at least hold off with the cute one liners until it was found no one was injured or killed.
I had the unfortunate job of having to visit a burn ward about 8 months ago to speak with a burn victim. Hopefully, I'll never have to go back to a place like that. Words can't describe it.
