Missing: Natalee Holloway participated in a trip with 125 seniors from Mountain Brook High School to Aruba in the Caribbean. In the early morning hours on May 30, 2005 Natalee was seen leaving a nightclub and getting into a vehicle. She failed to turn up Monday morning for her return flight home and she has not been seen since. Foul play is suspected in her disappearance.
Profile: Natalee Holloway was born on October 21, 1986 to Beth and Dave Holloway. She grew up in the close-knit community of Mountain Brook, a suburb of Birmingham, Alabama. She was very popular and respected by her classmates and had a reputation among peers at being very intelligent and focused on her future. She lived up to her reputation, graduating as an honors student from the Mountain Brook High School.
Extracurricular Activities: During Natalle's high school years she participated several extracurricular activities including: The American Field Service - A club which interacts with the foreign exchange students. Dorians Dance Team Future Business Leaders of America Mu Alpha Theta - Math honor society Natural Helpers - A peer based emotional support group. He is a neighbor of Jorans, as well as a close friend.
I have lots of pictures of Joran and his friends, he is in everyone of them.
My guess is that Joran's prison cellmates were there for specific reasons: did he slip, does he talk in his sleep,lol?
I wonder, since there is no plea deal potential in Aruba, might there be a chance for a better prison cell (the new addition vs the old, run down)? Just thinking out loud.

All along I have thought that Joran was more likely to be indebted to someone rather than running any kind of "business" operation. He may have thought himself a big-shot but when you're talking about the porn industry, money laundering, drug trafficking, etc. I highly doubt that a 17 year old kid is going to get anything except what he's allowed by that underworld (and teenagers don't exactly have that right resume).
I would think Joran would be quite a hire for an underworld enterprise. He has the looks to lure and a connected father to blackmail.

Update: Under the category "you can't plan in this business," I had expected to take Friday night off, but now I will be working. We have lots to report and it makes sense for me to come in off vacation since I have been steeped in the Natalee Holloway (search) story since the beginning. Here is what happened this morning:
Early this morning I got a tip: The Kalpoe brothers (search) have been re-arrested and another suspect was also under arrest. The arrest was at 6 a.m. Because rumors run wild in Aruba on this case, we wanted to get another source. We did not dare report it until we were absolutely certain.
Calls went out quickly everywhere for confirmation and our producer in Aruba (George Szucs) got busy... very, very, very busy. Armed with his cell phone, his video camera and the car, he took off to chase down the story.
We also solicited the help of investigative reporter, Tito Lacle. With "all hands on deck," our people were able to get the arrest confirmed. In fact, in short order, we had two confirmations of our original tip.
I was also told by my producer in Aruba that there would be an 11 a.m. court hearing. A very short time later, he was at the courthouse way ahead of everyone (including the parties to this investigation.) I called him on his cell several times and at one time said, "What's going on?" He said, "I am the only one here."
A short time later and well before 11 a.m. he called and told me that the Kalpoe brothers' mother had arrived. Since the producer and I have met many times with her, she was easily recognizable to him. He attempted to talk to her but she did not want to talk. This is understandable.
Needless to say, all morning long, we have all been pounding the phones. We are learning much about the other person arrested Freddy and will give you those details at 10 p.m. tonight.
What has caught my attention most is the timeline we have pieced together. From Satish's lawyer the other night on the show, we learned that someone was on the Internet at the Kalpoe residence from 2 a.m. to 3 a.m. Why did that person get off the Internet at 3 a.m.? Note that 3 a.m. is the exact time that Joran van der Sloot's (search) second call went to Deepak's cell phone (the first was 2:40 a.m.)

The official press release that the prosecution put out did not mention him at all
People are under the impression that his arrest may be related to another case
He was arrested in the beginning with relation to this same case
There is no mention from the police in regards to this third man
Third man is a friend of them, partied with them, many pics with him
He was questioned in the beginning in regards to the Natalee case
Do you have any info as to his whereabouts the night Natalee disappeared?

Absolutely super development!! Beth must be just so happy. Finally, something is beginning to happen. I always felt that this was a "well oiled machine". These guys had a real "system" going on. Wonder what mama Kalpoe will have to say about her "good" boys now?????

Michelle Kosinski on MSNBC is saying that Kalpoe attorney believes Kalpoe arrests are based in part on other allegations involving "photos and young girls."
Satish's Lawyer is angry is he? Tough titty!!! His client is a bad dude and not this innocent little guy he's been attempting to portray. My God is there is video, these guys are dead in the water. I wonder if their little drugging/raping gang progressed to a snuff film??? This could be a GARGANTUAN break!!!!

I'll be only too happy to owe this Prosecutor an apology!! These developments today are grreeeaaat!! With one caveat - PVDS is STILL walking around and should NOT be. However, his time of freedom "may" be coming to an end. The general consensus is however that he is SWEATING UNCONTROLABLY!! LOL
