MOUND VALLEY, Kan. -- A Bengal tiger attacked and killed a teenage girl Thursday at a southeast Kansas animal sanctuary.
Haley Hilderbrand, 17, of Altamont, Kan., was posing with the tiger for her senior high school pictures at the Lost Creek Animal Sanctuary.
A news release from the Labette County Sheriff's Office said the big cat was being restrained by its handler, but it attacked the teenager, anyway.
The 7-year-old tiger was killed.

Ping me when you start playing with yourself.
I wish I could find an article on it, but so far I can't.
Guess which one is me.
"Apparently the handlers were very confindent with their ability to control these "domesticated" cats and started showing them at the local high schools."
I have little respect or patience for such people. These clowns that think they know the mind of animals simply because they "train" those animals are some of the most logic-starved humans that walk the planet.
Causing an animal to react in a somewhat predictable manner does not mean we understand what's going on in their minds.
Does crying when I get their bill count?
So true.
Kill all tigers and pitbulls, and dobermans too... and rotweilers...
And sharks, bears and alligators.....and moose.
Huh. Go figure... </shrug>
<snicker>
Re: "The reason for the attack is that the girl was straddling atop of the Tiger like riding a horse, when the animal turned it's head to look at her, she then SCREAMED and frightened the Tiger, so he attacked.
The Tiger's owner was a long time friend of her family."
Where did you hear - or read this information? I'd be interested in reading it if it is written. Thanks!
Never get off the boat ......
