Depending on how severe the autism is, he could very well have been making way too much noise for the other patrons to hear. While folks with disabilities should not be shunned, nor should the rest of us have to change our lives to accomodate them. To put this in a better light, ever been to a Movie were the parents decided it was ok to bring in their 1 year old?

Folks need to start taking responsibilty for their own lives, and gaining a little common courtesy.

I'm sure I would have found the braying of this kid extremely irritating but life is full of irritations and annoyances. Dealing with them with tolerance and grace is character building.

Kicking the disabled kid and his family out of a movie that was brightening his life, is a far greater tragedy than being annoyed.

You're absolutely right. When I pay $8.50 for a movie ticket, I don't want to have to put up with annoying little kids. When I went to an 10 PM showing of Star Wars, I was ticked at the family that brought the 3 year old little girl who was wimpering "Mommy, Mommy" for the first half of the movie.

One expects little kids to make noise, but one does not expect little kids at 10 PM showings of PG-13 movies. If I had been at a Harry Potter movie screening on a Saturday afternoon, I would have put up with it as a fact of life. But not at 10PM. Get a babysitter, people.

Although I can see your point. What concerns me is the way he said that they did not have to leave, only the one in the wheelchair.

I guess his parents think the theater should have refunded everyone else's money and allowed them to watch the movie alone? It's sad for the kid, but his parents know how he acts. I find it hard to believe that they are surprised he would disrupt the movie. It's their fault.

Maybe they should consider locking the child in his room so that normal people won't have to look at him. /s
