Porous border frustrates states
The Dallas Morning News ^ | August 18, 2005 | MICHELLE MITTELSTADT and DAVID McLEMORE

Frustration is rising along the Southwest border.

Angered by unending waves of illegal immigration, some Americans have taken matters into their own hands by forming "Minuteman" patrols that they plan to expand from Arizona to Texas this fall.

A Houston congressman is pushing for creation of militias of armed volunteers to augment Border Patrol forces. Gov. Rick Perry is mulling a border neighborhood watch-style program.

And in recent days, the governors of Arizona and New Mexico – fed up with the failure of the federal government to control the border – have declared state emergencies in counties struggling with rising immigrant smuggling and violence.

"It's a scream for help from Congress," said Frank Sharry, head of the National Immigration Forum, an immigrant advocacy group lobbying for an immigration overhaul. "They are basically pounding the table and saying, 'Do something.' "

While Washington policy-makers are definitely attuned to the growing public anxiety over border security and illegal immigration, they're far from achieving consensus on the proper remedy.

Rod: you've gone and broken your own FRettiquette rule again (especially since you've so misrepresented my past sentiments). I don't care how many babies they have, as long as they're in their own country and not racing across the border to have them here (courtesy of the county) just so they can leech off the welfare system. It's not the having babies part that I believe is causing resentment of all hispanics and damage to the reputation of American hispancs....it's the having babies as a way of working the system, leeching off said system, refusing to assimilate, breaking the law the minute they sneak across the border, (I could go on and on).
You are either dense or obtuse or both to have drawn your inferences from what I've posted in the past.

No, I couldn't remember your exact handle so I didn't identify you specifically, or even say that the person was a FReeper.

I don't see how anyone can be ashamed to share genetic information with people who risk there lives to come to America to escape hopeless poverty and to give their children a chance to have a decent life. That's nothing to be ashamed of. The Mexican immigrants I have had the pleasure to meet have all been fine people if one can look past another persons economic status or language skills.

But I guess different people have different values.

Gee, where can I get glasses with rose-colored lenses with selective blinders like yours? I'm not ASHAMED of my genetic material....but you'll just take anything I say and twist it anyway, so why bother?
By the way, for someone who doesn't speak Spanish and speaks English, you sure have a lot of trouble remembering a couple of English words: sound them out; say them slowly, now, so you'll remember them:
I-L-L-E-G-A-L
B-O-R-D-E-R J-U-M-P-E-R-S
L-A-W B-R-E-A-K-E-R-S

Am I wrong that you said the reason you disliked Mexican immigrants is because they made you look bad? I distinctly remember you saying something about "babies, babies, babies." Perhaps you can find your posts, my list is extraordinary long and it would take me forever.

I am speaking English here, aren't I? Because I'm cuttin', but you ain't bleedin'! I said that ILLEGAL Mexican immigrants ILLEGALLY flooding our country, leeching off our government, and refusing to assimilate are causing resentment of Hispanics in general, in addition to everything else they're guilty of. I said that my aunt and mom, who are nurses, weekly deliver at least 1 "border baby"; a high-risk birth, usually, because the mom raced here while pregnant to be able to have the baby here in order to make the "anchor baby" loophole. The taxpayers pick up the tab for the birth, and that's just the first tab the taxpayers pick up.

OK then. I will try to find your posts to defend myself against your charges that I mischaracterized your position.

" I'm cuttin', but you ain't bleedin'"

I guess my family hasn't assimilated enough in 200 years to understand that Americanism. Does my ignorance of Americana make me look bad?

No, that would be your ignorance in general that makes you look bad. Good luck looking. I don't recall saying that Immigrants Having Babies is a bad thing. ILLEGAL Immigrants Having Babies as a way to get govt. freebies and having them on the taxpayers' dime is a bad thing.

The Mexican immigrants I have had the pleasure to meet have all been fine people if one can look past another persons economic status or language skills.

That's classic - "They seemed so nice, even though I couldn't understand a word they said, but mostly they kept quiet while waiting on me, and they knew enough not to try being my friend, because I have no close Hispanic friends, and I'd llike to keep it that way."

Go rod-man! Let's hear more about how everyone's a racist but you, this just gets better by the day!

I don't see how anyone can be ashamed to share genetic information with people who risk there [sic] lives to come to America to escape hopeless poverty

It's not really that hopeless. They could turn to their own government for help. They have tons of money, they could spare some if they want.

and to give their children a chance to have a decent life.

Anyone who cannot afford children in the first place should go out and have a bunch of them anyway. Good thinking.

Here, let me do your reply for you: "When you say people, you really mean Hispanics. Your anti-Hispanic, anti-immigrant posts reflect poorly on your lack of compassion for others. I think everyone, especially Hispanics, should breed like rabbits and make it someone else's problem. It sure as heck won't be mine, since I refuse to have anything to do with Hispanics unless they're cleaning my toilet."

You can use that to copy and paste into your next post. Add in the part about the 40 million aborted children wherever you see fit - no wait, it's 45 million now, right? - oh heck, just round it off to an even 50 million, even better!

He would never show his true flag. I don't believe it would be a Mexican flag however. I don't think that he would ever swear allegiance to any nation. What flag would a person fly if he did not want his own country to survive? Do they make a flag that displays the almighty Dollar or Peso?

I think it rather humorous when he talks about the so called decline in the crime rate. He refuses to admit to anything. He says there is less crime. Yet there are more and more illegals being arrested. Logic would tell you that the illegals are doing the crimes that honest hard working American criminals will not do.

You can't engage in honest debate with a false flag freeper who does not believe in one word of his lies.
He has a cover agenda: the destruction of American sovereignty.

Actually, I am not trying to engage him in an honest debate. I do not believe he understands the meaning of honesty. I am just trying to flush him out in the open so he can be identified. He makes an easier target that way. It occurred to me that I became much more negative about illegal immigration after reading his post. I hope that other people will have their eyes opened the same way I did. I do thank him, he is doing a great service to his country.

So should I add "anti-Latino men" to the things that the Antis are anti?

You freely admit to having no close Hispanic friends, yet you refer to others as "anti-Latino."

Your true self is showing. Keep up the good work.
