As the midday call to prayer was sung out, members of an Inglewood mosque said Wednesday that they were shocked to hear that three of their fellow worshipers were under investigation for a possible plot to shoot up National Guard recruitment centers and synagogues.
Members of the mostly South Asian mosque described the trio — two African American Muslims and a Pakistani national — as "friendly, devout" adherents and said that they had been unaware of any dangers the men might have posed.
"They said their prayers on time and were known to myself on a first-name basis," said Imam Junaid Kharsany, the clerical leader of Jamat-E-Masijidul Islam mosque. "We had no reason to believe that these men were criminals with bad intentions."
Although no indictments have been issued, sources say the FBI-led investigation has uncovered evidence the men were planning to go on a shooting rampage at any of about two dozen sites in Southern California.
Under one scenario, according to the sources, the first attack would have been waged Sept. 11 at a National Guard recruitment center and a second would have taken place at a synagogue a month later on Yom Kippur. One suspect had purchased an assault rifle and was planning to pick it up July 10, only days after the men were arrested.

"We don't believe they had settled on a specific plan," said one source close to the probe, which has involved more than 200 FBI agents, Los Angeles detectives and counterterrorism experts with other state and federal agencies.
The investigation began after one of the alleged plotters dropped a cellphone during a gas station robbery in Torrance.
"There is no question that was the major break," said one official who spoke on condition of anonymity because of the continuing probe.

Key word here is "devout". Only devout adherents to Islam commit terrorism. All it takes for a Muslim to become a terrorist is for them to take Islam seriously. Their inspiration and source of instruction is the hatred, intolerance and violence replete Koran and Hadith which, mind you, are CENTRAL to the faith. Because of this, even though a Muslim may be non-violent at present, all Muslims regardless are essentially ticking time bombs waiting for the reason to take their faith seriously.
In every other faith other than Islam, devout followers become priest, monks, rabbis, shaman, all intent on helping and nurturing people. In Islam they become terrorists and terrorist sympathizers and instigators (a.k.a. mullahs).
Islam as a cult, religion or whatever you want to call it, must be destroyed and its adherents ridiculed, mocked and turned away from the faith with all means necessary. This means that the war we are waging must be fought on two fronts…militarily as we are already doing and ideologically which we have yet to begin.
The problem with the later is that the west needs to rediscover itself and its roots, stop the onslaught of juvenility inspired leftism/Marxism/Socialism and self loathing, hedonistic, moral bankruptcy…take the intellectual moral conservative high ground and attack Islam and its founder with logic, reason and the kind of righteous zeal not seen since Thomas Aquinas. It has already begun in the US. Europe
Muslims can pray any time. However, there are certain times when they MUST pray. That's what the Imam was referring to.
When I was a visiting professor in Turkey, I decided I might as well pray whenever the muezzin called the Muslims to prayer. It was a good reminder for me. In principle, anyway, not much different from church bells ringing the Angelus in Catholic countries.
"Shocked" is right up there with the liberal spitum "troubled". Whenever they see things that aren't going their way they are "troubled". I guess muslims can claim the word "shocked" but you would think that it was worn out by now.
There God only works at special times of the day. I guess it could be worse, he could make them get an an appointment, like a doctors office or the DMV. Can you imagine waiting around all day to talk to God.
Important insight. It bears repeating.
Muhammad was the first Muslim terrorist. The rest follows. The rest copies his life as all faithful Muslims are commanded to do by Koran and Hadith
Bandits and robbers just like their "prophet" Muhammad.
Problem is, even MIMOs are subject to "relapse" to devout koranic kultist at anytime.
A time to pray,
A time to bomb.
A time to rape little girls.
A congregation of jihadist liars, arrayed in their filthy nightshirts..
These would work well in photo strips as well.
It is the same as all the neighbors saying, "but he was such a quiet man, always kept to himself...," about mass murderers; and, "he was an honor student who never had a problem before falling in with the wrong crowd, but was just starting to turn his life back around..." about the local gang banger killed during a robbery attempt.
To put it more simply, "none is so blind, as he who refuses to see."
In the case of the Muslims, only one or two believe what they say; the rest know it's a lie for public consumption.
