If there is no one to negotiate with, why do it? Why leaving Gaza?

My dear Jackson, you won't have to wait too long. There is no built in security and the terrorists are cheering right now because they've been rewarded, and they'll be able to cause more damage than ever.

Why not move 10,000 more settlers into Gaza and let them defend it themselves - like in the old days?
