(And it's a one-way heading South.)
======================================
Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger said Wednesday he would consider joining his counterparts in Arizona and New Mexico in declaring a state of emergency to strengthen law enforcement along the border with Mexico. "We're talking about that right now," Schwarzenegger told a local radio station. "If we see a need for that, we definitely will do the same thing."

Now we just need to make sure Congress realizes that we will not support McKennedy.

That's true, but shoot him a note anyway!

With all the trouble with TX taxes and special sessions, he may be desperate enough to do it.

Ya' know, I wasn't a Perry fan when he took over the reins. But, his actions in dealing with CPS have made me I have some hope with the man. At this point, I have more confidence in him than I have in his predecessor... not that that's saying much.

Both Democratic governors joined Schwarzenegger, a Republican, at a recent conference on border issues in New Mexico, which included representatives from Mexican states.So has it become a bipartisan issue and not an advantage to the dems? Does Ahnoldt give cover to Congress and the Administration to do something? I'm for that.

These governors would like you to think it was bipartisan.
Actually, Arnold may be one of the few who hasn't been totally brainwashed yet ..

Yes it has, but we can still get screwed over if we become silent. There are going to be a lot of people who try and portray McKennedy as a tough bill. We need to remind our leaders that we are not stipid, and McKennedy is just another name for amnesty.
