I say,, pull out all of our American companies that operate in Hawaii , pull out and economic help the Hawaiians get from the US Federal government, pull out our military bases, and let them become another Cuber.
I say, let them float on their own, and have them pay back what ever loans they got from the Federal US government.
They will be the first ones to blame the Federal US government if that place turns into a hell hole like Cuber.
