Think of how many more Israelis have been killed by Koranimals, and how we are almost inured to it.
That's because we have a right vs. wrong culture (generally.) Arab culture is us vs. them. When one of us take on the us vs. them mentality it shocks us and we wonder where that came from. I think we hope that our culture overtakes theirs, and not the other way around.
