We basically overturn TWO states (Afghanistan, and Iraq) in the past four years

The other side plays to win.

We play to try not to hurt to many feelings in the Arab World and Europe.

On this course, in three to five years at most, both Afghanistan and Iraq are run by Islamic enemies of the United States.

This man did a terrible thing to the poor people he shot and to Israelis in general. It is only going to inflame the Palestinians even more, and they are thirsting enough already for the blood of innocent Jews.

As for the media, they have shown themselves to be totally biased AGAINST Israel and will use this story to incite hatred against Jews. Yes, this story will grow wings and fly around the world for days, but how many media outlets carried the story of the Jewish woman and her four daughters machine gunned to death at close range (including a baby in a car seat) by Palestinians? I'll bet most people don't even know it happened.

"ZAKA is the heir of the Israeli doctors and soldiers who risked their lives to help the victims of the Second Hebron Massacre, and also of the Arabs who risked their lives to shelter Jews from the First Hebron Massacre."

...................

The only way that Arabs/Muslims are "heir" to ZAKA is that they create the body parts that ZAKA has to clean up for burial.

What do Arabs/Muslims have to do with ZAKA? How does ZAKA have to do with the Muslim massacre of Jews in Hebron in 1922? Why do you give Arabs/Muslims credit for the acts of as Jewish humanitarian organization?

Zaka was formed in 1989 to fulfill the Jewish religious obligation to quickly bury the dead and all their body parts shattered by terror explosions.

.......................

http://www.zaka.org.il/en/about.asp

"In 1989, while studying in a yeshiva, Yehuda Meshi Zahav, the founder and chairman of ZAKA, and his fellow students were startled into reality by a thunderous boom, 2 minutes of silence and then scores of bloodcurdling screams. The number 405 bus was steered over the mountainside by a terrorist. The bus exploded and 17 people died and scores were injured. Yehuda and his colleagues rushed to the scene and began to care for the wounded and dead. It was chilling and horrifying chaos Yehuda relates. For six years after this incident Meshi Zahav and a dedicated group of volunteers continued this work of Chesed Shel Emet, the work that "makes God smile" - true kindness – unconditional giving to those who cannot give thanks. The volunteers of ZAKA selflessly overcome horror to recover the human remains – fulfilling the biblical imperative to bury the dead "on the same day" and handle the shattered flesh and bones with respect for the divine spirit that had filled them.

ZAKA became an official organization in 1995. It began as an organization that was responsible for the recovery and identification of body parts, Chesed Shel Emet, Since its inception, the organization has grown to include its Motorcycle Unit for Rapid Rescue, the Search and Rescue Unit and departments handling public education and community services.

ZAKA is a HUMANITARIAN VOLUNTARY ORGANIZATION, coordinating nearly 1000 volunteers responding to tragic incidents in Israel.

ZAKA has branched and emerged as the dominant rescue, life saving and recovery non-governmental organization in Israel, working alongside law enforcement and emergency personnel in responding to incidents of terrorism, accidents or disasters."

................

Please direct me to the acts of Arabs/Muslims who have heroically saved Jewish lives. I don't see these reports in the MSM and I am sure if they existed the MSM would report them. The last one you refer to is the 1922 Hebron massacre, quite a long time ago.

Why do the Middle East 'peace' organizations bear Hebrew names --- B'Tzelem, Gush Shalom, Shalom Achshav..?

Why do Jewish condemnation of rare Jewish terror sound so different than Arab/Muslim/Palestinian rebukes which invariably condemn the damage to the cause not the harm to the innocent?

Which begs the question: why aren't you banned for your continuous support and excuse for Arab murderers?
It's been tried. Perhaps it's because my views are closer to those of the President most of us supported than yours are. By your apparent defintion he also shows "continuous support and excuse for Arab murderers".

Jewish settlers get gunned down all the time in the west bank and you never hear about it.

Exactly. Not to excuse this man's actions, but the death of innocent Jews doesn't make the media except in headlines like this "Bus blows up in Jerusalem". You know, like buses just blow up every once in a while.

You really think so? Maybe it takes one to spot one.

In the first term Bush seemed to be heading for greatness -and by chance at the same time he seemed very supportive of Israel.

Then he turned on Israel.

He's always been supportive of Israel. He's never been supportive of "Yesha".

The reason he's pushing it now is because Arafat assumed room temperature (at least temporarily) and people he can work with now run the PA.

Wasn't Arafat some sort of idiot? If he only knew that all it took was wearing a civilian suit to impress Bush that a life long terrorist- and Arafat deputy- is a courageous peace seeker.

if these people are being offered $100,000-$300,000 to move, who in their right mind wouldn't?

No doubt. That is one of the most stupid things I've ever read. Spoken by a true loser, I'm sure. $150,000-$400,000 (the figures I've heard) depending on how much land and property the person had, is enough to replace the house, not the life. And the people are saying they can find houses to buy, but they can't find land to buy for that kind of money, so for the farmers, too bad.

What you aren't factoring in is the Arab nations themselves. The Arabs hate Palestinians as much as they hate Jews. "There's just so many of them" is a comment you hear often from Arabs.

While that may be true, I have a hard time believing that if it came down to brass tacks the Arab states would do anything other than support the Palis against whomever they were in conflict with. Too strong of a group-victim identity for them to do much else, other than sit things out.

I understand the no-love-lost relationship. The Jordanians gave the Palis the boot a few decades back and there has been bad blood ever since between them. Likewise the Saudis, albeit for different reasons, would rather not get stuck on the tar baby of Pali statehood. As I recall, the Shah, when he was in power, also expressed some concern about the idea of a Palestinian state.

They support the giving of Israel to the Palestinians for the simple reason that they do not want the Palestinians in their lands. They also don't want the Palestinians to be allied with the Jews, and that is why they do everything they can to keep the Palestinians and Jews enemies.

Palestinians allied with Israelis? You know, that is a picture that I have never considered, and have a hard time visualizing under almost all credible scenarios. Although, I'll admit, it is an intriguing gambit. It's just hard to imagine any (credible) circumstances that would bring that about.

I see Hitler in the UN, not in the Palestinian ranks.

Again, that is a hard one to visualize. Hitler was a man of action. He had (perverted) ideas and he acted, albeit with ruthlessness and for a diabolical purpose. The UN today is far too ineffectual for action. I can't think of many cases where they have acted with decisiveness since the Korean conflict. The UN of today is hobbled by scandal and maladministration, which has made it a toothless tiger, all symbolism and no action. They are basically an ego-inflated debating society. The damage the UN does today is largely a result of ineffectiveness and obstructionism, as well as scandal and draining of productive resources from dues-paying nations. In terms of addressing real problems, it is largely irrelevant.

Christians have more to fear from Muslims than they do from Jews. Most Israelis are grateful for the support they receive from their Christian brethren. In Dafur, it is Muslims killing Christians, not Jews. Christians and Jews should stand together against the islamicfascists who would see both religions destroyed.

Did this guy murder babies?

There was a palestinian infant killed a couple of weeks ago. A mortar shell fell short. If the Jews weren't in Israel, the palestinians wouldn't have to fire mortars at them. Israel's fault.

This man was obviously deranged and does not represent his country. And it is not the President's purpose to defend Israel, but the President is supposed to stand by America's allies, and Israel is an ally. I guess that bothers you.

Getting the Jews out of the West Bank frees troops who would have to protect them in the conflict to come.

First Gaza, now the West Bank, eh? Didn't take you people long, did it. One word: NEVER!

What they're being offered comes nowhere near the value of what they're losing. How can you put a monetary value of the life one has built for himself and his family? How can a check from the government ever compensate for the blood, sweat, and tears one has poured into building a home and a business from nothing? And, finally, how much can they pay a family for their betrayal by their government? How much is the cost of being stabbed in the back?

You know, the nation of Israel is losing something here a lot more valuable than thousands of homes and the lives the people who lived in them had built. It is losing a facet of it's national character that has sustained it through decades of struggle for survival. And that is the sense of community and kinship and national identity that Israelis have had over the years. No matter what happened, the nation was able to pull together under the Israeli flag and the notion that Jews need to look out for their brother Jews. Now we have the spectacle of Jews acting against other Jews. The ghosts from the ghettos and camps of Europe under the Nazis are stirring.
