Thanks. What's truly amazing these days is just how short our attention spans have become in this age of "big media business." Stories don't last more than a few days or weeks at a time, unless they involve some ongoing court case (Michael Jackson, Terry Schiavo, etc.) or an ongoing saga during the month of August when Washington D.C. is empty (Cindy Sheehan).
You are SO right! Along with what you said, with the 24/7 news cycle, the MSM has to "juice up" its "news" -- either make a big deal out of nothing and squeeze it for all it's worth or just out-and-out fabricate a story out of whole cloth (ala Dan Rather).
