Melissa Harrison thought she was just being neighborly when she let a group of antiwar activists hold a news conference on her property. Then her father, who lives just down the road, began calling her Hanoi Jane.
Harrison let the protesters have their news conference on her circle drive a week ago because she thought they should have an opportunity to present their views.
But by Tuesday, she said, she, too, was ready for them to leave. Her parents, Pete and Linda Martinka, had already fled their adjacent Lazy Czech Ranch and planned to spend several days on the road to get away from the Camp Casey scene. Harrison's husband, Vernon, an Army sergeant known to his friends as Dusty, said he would be glad to see the camp residents go.
"Property rights is what I'm having a big problem with," he said. "I've got these guys up here beating and banging on drums and guitars and making noise all hours of the night. There's nothing I can do."

The protesters don't care about the rights of other people, to have some peace and quiet and be able to sleep at night.

Harrison let the protesters have their news conference on her circle drive a week ago because she thought they should have an opportunity to present their views. These folks don't really need any more opportunities considering most major news outlets are already doing their work for them, But Harrison found out the hard way that when you give people like this an inch, they take a couple hundred miles.

Too bad they found probably paid a hefty sum of money for one welcome mat today at the ranch only a mile from the President's. The Cindy PR firm is bought and paid for by Ben and Gerry's Ice Cream. Finding good PR is their job, even if they have to buy it.

Why should they. I bet Moveon.org and Soros are paying them more per day to "protest" than they could earn in a week, by working.

The protesters don't care about the rights of other people, to have some peace and quiet and be able to sleep at night. I know. And whenever anyone dares to mention the damage these people do to the property of others, some self-righteous clown (who probably lives in a gated community) gets up on their soapbox and accuses them of engaging in "censorship".
Those poor people. I'll bet they'll be cleaning up the messes on their properties for weeks.
