WASHINGTON, Aug. 16 - State Department analysts warned the Clinton administration in July 1996 that Osama bin Laden's move to Afghanistan would give him an even more dangerous haven as he sought to expand radical Islam "well beyond the Middle East," but the government chose not to deter the move, newly declassified documents show.

However, Ivanov said Russia's traditional support for Iraq would end if the nation did not halt its programme to develop weapons of mass destruction -- chemical and biological.>
Now I can't find what thread pointed me to this>>.......
Clinton was in the business of being loved not protecting the country.
Judicial watch got them last week.

The docs:

You sure about that? Are you confusing OBL w/ Abu Nidal?
Well that shot down my theory that the Times was sitting on the Documents.,......
Klintoon must have been biting his lip, feeling Bin Laden's pain. NSNR
Slade Gordon is on Michael Medved show....and is saying these documents didn't mean anything...trying to act like this was important enough for them to look at....
Also, Shep Smith commented after report about the State Dept. revealing this story, that there are "unconfirmed" rumors that the Sudan and others had offered Bin Ladin to Clinton...and then he stressed the "unconfirmed" part..
Doesn't Hannity have Clinton on audiotape ADMITTING that he was offered Bin Ladin and turned him down?
" Now I can't find what thread pointed me to this>>......."
Let not your heart be troubled. So much to to keep track of.
Of course whatever the Russian's felt appropriate at the time seems not to have prevented their military to stay in Baghdad till days before the tanks start rolling into the city. Of course they would have known all about the wmd programs, since they sold crap to the goons along with the French, Germans, Italians, and others. It did not keep them from their continued support. Making money and keeping cheap oil flowing has a way of turning ones back on responsibilities.
OMG---now Gordon is excusing Sandy Berger's stealing the documents...
NOW, he is excusing Clinton for not taking Bin Ladin when the Sudan offered him...he said but it might be a question worth asking, if it might have made a difference..
MIGHT HAVE MADE A DIFFERENCE???
These 9/11 commission members are in CYA mode so bad!!!
>>Best analysis: these leaks right now mean that Hillary is running for President in 2008.
<<
After losing the senate run in 2006. New Yorkers are heavily demoRAT, but not heavily stupid. They won't forget any Clintoon link to actions that might have preempted 9/11.
Kind of like the corollary of that Quote from one of Hussein's sons to his father that Bush is no Clinton...
Guess Gordon thinks the planes hitting the WTC, Pentagon, and that field in PA was incidental to the mandate of the commission.
He was disgusting....you could tell that he just didn't want to think about, or discuss ANYTHING that might reflect badly on their "precious" little 9/11 commission.
I always thought it was just a "dog and pony show" anyway..and I resented the heck out of their demands to have our whole government change ON THEIR RECOMMENDATIONS..
Now we find out those recommendations were based on faulty intelligence of their own!...(welcome to the REAL world commission members!)
They went in with an agenda and were determined to make sure nothing, especially the TRUTH, interfered with that agenda.
Good point - I agree.
I looked up the references again .. apparently I was mistaken. It was Abu Nidal. Thanks for the catch.
I don't have a problem with a woman president, as long as she's qualified. Hillary does not fit that requirment in any way. Yeah, she's over 35 and a US citizen, but she is a disgrace to everything America stands for. Yep, some women will vote for her because of her sex, but I doubt many GOP women will, nor will she get support from any thinking woman who values our country.
There are NO words, created yet, to describe the clintons!
Thanks, I did not get to listen to Tony, however did read through the thread this evening.
