WASHINGTON, Aug. 16 - State Department analysts warned the Clinton administration in July 1996 that Osama bin Laden's move to Afghanistan would give him an even more dangerous haven as he sought to expand radical Islam "well beyond the Middle East," but the government chose not to deter the move, newly declassified documents show.

Even worse than Carter!
September something...I think about a month from now.
Yes, but she's got the men's vote locked up. As Rush says, Hillary looks like everyone's ex-wife or ex-mother in law.
Let me guess--over at DU they're not speaking a word about this but are still shrieking about the "bastard" who ran over the Sheehan Shrine, uh, the memorial to the fallen soldiers, right?
Both are so low that nano technology is needed to measure.
If we waited until the end.
One of the things that encouraged Bin Laden and according to his own words caused him to embark on the strategy of taking swipes at us and even to provoking open war, was that we kept backing down and taking the easy way out. He became convinced that we were "too decadent" to defend ourselves for long.
Further, as Clinton's terms went on, a major selling point for our destruction was that we tolerated Clintons behaviour.
True.
For several years they sang his song
he was a hero to their cause
In denial many lived
he placed himself up above the laws
He knew all of the right things to say
down through
hell and then back believers would go
In eight long years he's done to us
more damage than you know
For his neglect we would finally pay the price
the count's three thousand dead
We know just where to place the blame
it is on Bill Clinton's head
When the Cole was hit and brave men died
there is no doubt that he hadn't cried
He looked at his polls and sighed
Now this is the end
this is the end
of his legacy
At OKC he saw his chance
he needed to divide us all
He would create the vast right wing
and his mind-numbed fools would pick up the ball
So we'd fight among ourselves
and the
grand scheme had worked, he got his way
With our attention diverted he
would gut the CIA
For his neglect we would pay the price
the count's three thousand dead
We know just where to place the blame
it is on Bill Clinton's head
When the Cole was hit and brave men died
there is no doubt that he hadn't cried
He looked at his polls and sighed
Now this is the end
this is the end
of his legacy
We endured a psychopath
who saw himself as the Rockstar Prez
We had sent the warnings out
watch what this man does, not what he says
For neglect we paid the price
when those great buildings fell with many dead
And we know just where to place the blame
it's on Bill Clinton's head
When the Cole was hit and brave men died
there is no doubt that he hadn't cried
He looked at his polls and sighed
Now this is the end
this is the end
of his legacy
Why is the NY Slimes reporting this?
See evolved's post #12 for your answer. It is the Dem's MO.
.
The 911 Investigating Commission's only response to MONSOOR IJAZ's years long call to be publically heard Under Oath about the 3 OSAMA Offers he brokered with the Sudan, only to have the CLINTONS refuse them all,
...was to finally bring MONSOOR IJAZ in for testimony in CLOSED SESSION.
What MONSOOR IJAZ had been telling the American People on National TV about the CLINTONS refusing to bring OSAMA here when freely offered them 3 times by the Sudan during the 1990's was not to be heard Under Oath publically at the insistance of the 911 Commission.
Even though MONSOOR IJAZ was practically screaming on National TV to be heard in Open Session Under Oath.
.
On another thread Sunday someone posted an excerpt from Weldon's book in which he said President Bush issued an executive order that actually ended some of the "wall" within weeks of being sworn in. If you know what I'm talking about, could someone who knows this paragraph post it again? Thanks.
what you say is true . #12 also gets it. we know the times game by heart. this could be big. if this is what most of the freepers thought , well it won't matter what the times or hill or anyone says or does. the implications from this are way beyond the old playbook . at least we know who is up for the dance.
This has to have legs to get the slimes to print this. The right wing attack machine is corrupting everyone.
BS. UBL issued a 1996 fatwah against the US entitled "Declaration of War against the Americans Occupying the Land of the Two Holy Places." The idea that UBL was just another bad guy in the firmament doesn't ring true. Why the State Department spokesman would act as an apologist for Clinton is beyond me.
Hillary hired Gorelick while serving as co-president.
Oh, I'm sure they're up to no good.
We also have a tape of Clinton admiting that he turned down the offer of UBL from Sudan. I have heard it. Hannity plays it every so often on his show and states that he provided a copy to the 9/11 Coimmission. Clinton's retort is that he was misinterpreted.
