the New York magazine has a Klinto interview where he tells how, "If I had known OBL was responsible (fill in all the blanks of incidents he described) I would have _______." So now we find out that the State Dept which is the most PC group in the world knew OBL was a terrorist, but they covered up what they knew after President Bush started to take action. 1996 was also the year of the Olympics bomb and flight-800. There was no way Klintoon wanted the electorate to be nervous about a terrorist attack, or he might not be re-elected. As usual it was all about HIM.

It was also the year that the Administration put pressure on the U.N. inspection team to avoid actually finding any evidence of Iraqi malfeasance, so as to evade any confrontations.
