Cindy's Sponsors Want Israel Out Of Palestine -- The Crawford "Peace" House

Turns out the people who are housing Cindy Sheehan during her protest are no strangers to these kind of "impromptu grassroots" demonstrations against evil. Behold their efforts from last April:

Funny thing is, it's not against the evil United States. It's a demonstration against the evil Jews--in Israel. Look closely at these small photographs:

They want the Israelis driven out of Israel. (Or rather, the Jews driven out of Palestine.) Here is what Crawford House director, Hadi Jawad, has to say on the subject:

In any case, it turns out that even Cindy's grief isn't what's motivating the people of the Crawford Peace House. They have been working this angle for some time:

Cindy is a compulsive liar. She said at first the first meeting with Bush made her happy and he was sincere. Then she said later he came nose to nose with her and was arragant.

Cindy actually said the main protest wasn't about impeachment but she came in on an impeachment bus.

Cindy has two faces one to the msm and one to blogs and radical groups.

To them she says israel should give up all its land, u.s not worth dying for, calling bush expletives, going after bush's daughters, impeachment tour bus, iraqi resistence is justified.

Then to the msm she has a different face. I am so sick of this creep and all her left wing political consultants. I wish a monsoon would hit crawford.

Demonstrators filled a sports stadium at Crawford

Crawford's sports stadium is usually filled with fans cheering on the Pirates football team.

But on Saturday it was filled with several hundred protesters calling on President Bush not to expand the war on terrorism to Iraq and to end US support of Israel.

Arab-Americans also were protesting harassment and intimidation they say they have suffered since the 11 September attacks.

Local curiosity

A steady stream of traffic poured into the sports stadium ahead of the demonstration, and local residents joked of gridlock in a town that rarely sees traffic snarled on its streets.

Crawford residents, unaccustomed to political protests, came out to watch, more out of curiosity than sympathy.

Gary Walker is a social studies teacher in Crawford and came down to the protest to find out what the focus of the demonstration would be. He said his students might ask him questions about it Monday in class.

Crawford is a sleepy little town, he said, unaccustomed to such protests, but since George W Bush became president, protests have occasionally come to this town of 700.
Protesters were forced to pass through a security screen

Last year, activists from the environmental group Greenpeace unfurled a banner from the town water tower. And on Saturday, the football stadium was filled, mostly with Arab-Americans waving Palestinian flags and calling for an end to Israeli occupation of Palestinian territory.

Some signs criticised Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon. One sign read, "Sharon = Hitler".

Samir Adedrabbo was handing out an open letter to President Bush and Prime Minister Blair to people waiting in the queue to pass through a security screen.

The letter calls on President Bush to end US aid to Israel, which he said had amounted to billions of dollars of direct aid since 1949.

Targeting Iraq

But Israel was not the only issue at the demonstration - some speakers also called on President Bush not to expand the war on terrorism to Iraq.

Matt Parker is the secretary for the local chapter of the Socialist Party USA, and his car has a bumper sticker saying: "The last time we mixed politics with religion people got burned at the stake."

He said that President Bush is hiding the real agenda behind his efforts to go after Iraq.

"He's trying to finish the job his father didn't do," he said.

Iraq is a poor country that has suffered greatly under international sanctions and poses no threat to the US, he said.

At a press conference with Prime Minister Blair, President Bush reiterated that the US policy seeks the removal of Saddam Hussein.

President Bush said of Iraq's pursuit of weapons of mass destruction: "I can't imagine people not seeing the threat and not holding Saddam Hussein accountable for what he said he would do. And we're going to do that."
