Larry Northern of Waco
Self | 08/16/2005 | Tex 52

Posted on 08/16/2005 5:32:55 PM PDT by Tex52

Just wanted to let Freepers know that Larry Northern, the man that knocked down the crosses outside the Bush ranch, is a Purple Heart winner from Vietnam. He was wounded by shrapnel that hit his juglar vein. I think maybe he had enough of Shean. She brings back the worst of how our soldiers were treated after Vietnam.

He hit both sides. Troop Supporters put the flags out.

There were little flags in some of the pics but none on the crosses.

Both sides of the road.

I've thought that very thing myself. I have stated on this thread that I totally disapprove and am angered by that woman's antics. We agree on that. :)

Good morning.
"Now the pictures I've seen of those crosses, they were right by the pavement..."

It looked to me like the crosses were in a ditch. I consider that to be more a case of insulting rather than paying homage to the dead.

Those of you condemning this guy's actions need to take a second look at what is happening there. I would imagine the vet is willing to pay the price for standing for his beliefs...again.

I think the crosses were on the easement beside the road...not on private property.

"PMSNBC is talking about the "desecration of the cross" etc.

Funny how the MSM are willing to use religion for their owne purposes. This example, together with claims such as "Jesus would have been a liberal" and "We are a Christian nation, therefore we should maintain and increase social program spending" make my blood boil. If we are a Christian nation, then we observe ALL of the tenets of Christianity, like preserving life, even unborn life. And church attendance. And prayer. And TRUE tolerance. And profession of Christ as Savior and acknowledgment of our sinful nature. Of course, the MSM would have none of THAT. So get off my back about what, to the liberal world, is nothing more than painted white sticks at right angles. The MSM and libs watched that horse leave the barn long ago.

Yep, she made a statement by putting the crosses up. He made his own statement, aka free speech, by knocking them down. We should not infringe on the truck driver's free speech rights. This should be as protected as her desecration of the land in the first place.

I see nothing on google that confirms he is a Vietnam vet. Did I miss the right website?

I'm not buying it newbie. Many of those crosses had names on them whos families never gave permission to use. Several families requested that the crosses be removed. The moonbats were using these fallen soldiers names to further their political agenda .... many without permission. Your letter is just too well written .... This Vietnam Vet ain't buying it .... what was your MOS

"I find it disheartening that good men like these have died so that people like you can threaten a mother who lost a child with your actions."

I find it disheartening that you can be so foolish as to consider this a "memorial", and that you are such an obvious troll by not being outraged at Arlington West for abusing the memories of Marines, soldiers, sailors, and airmen who volunteered to protect America. The same America that Cindy says it not even worth dying for. Your "peaceful group" is aligned with and receives aid and comfort from Code Pink among others. Code Pink has given direct aid to enemies of the United States during a time of war. Where is your outrage that the "peaceful group" is undermining our armed forces? How can they be a "peaceful group" when they are by definition commiting treason? Your 'disheartenment' is so badly misdirected that it is breathtaking. Thank you for your service (if you actually served), but keep your false indignation.
