Anti war protestor Cindy Sheehan made an appearance on CNN's 'Anderson Cooper 360' Monday night, denying remarks that her son Casey Sheehan 'had joined the Army to protect American and not Israel.'
Her controversial comments were put on the public record just a few days ago in a letter to ABC's Nightline.
Monday night on CNN, Sheehan told Cooper, 'I didn't say that my son died for Israel. I've never said that.'
'I saw somebody write that and it wasn't my words. Those aren't even words that I would say.' I do believe that the Palestinian issue is a hot issue that needs to be solved but I never said my son died for Israel.'
Cooper asked numerous times if she was sure whether or not she said the statement but Sheehan denied the remarks.
The Nightline letter was confirmed by ABC News which said that Ms. Sheehan had indeed signed the letter.

That depends on what the meaning of the word 'said' is...
Didn't say it, correct she wrote it!
Cindy is an August 'dog-days' story fueled by lazy journalist getting sick of Lone Star Beer.
Can we file for divorce from this woman, like her husband?
C Sheehan is a lot like Keri Jewell--highly suggestible. The evil lies in the controllers, not in the vessels.
Poor Cindy is imploding before our eyes.
She seems to say a lot of things that have come back to bite her in the ass.
Keep talking Cindy. I can't wait to hear your comments when your husband serves you with the divorce papers!!
Blame it all on PNAC and the Joooooos.
Nobody I ever heard of ever got sick of Lone Star Beer--LOL!
My memory is not what it used to be, but I thought I remembered seeing pics of her carrying a sign saying something to that effect. Does anyone else remember this?
No, she is doing a great deal of this on her own. Yesterday it was reported that SHE was the one to originally contact Code Pink and set this entire fiasco up.
Maybe she's like JohnFKerry and letting other people write things for her. He denied he ever claimed he said he was Irish yet there it is in the Congressional Record.
I wish the mainstream media would divorce her!
This is actually a little worrisome because it means someone's woken her up to the idea that she'll scare people off with her radical statements. Someone's telling her - rightly - to "stick to the main message!"
This woman must be exposed and it's up to FREEPERS to do so.
Maybe I'm stating the obvious, but it really shouldn't matter very much what Cindy Sheehan said. She's a leftist troublemaker at a time when good Americans are fighting and dying in a foreign land for our security and democracy. It is frightening that this woman should have any influence peddling an immoral, anti-American agenda. The policy she is "demanding" would result in tens of thousands of deaths and turn Iraq into an anti-American terrorist state.
Time for the feds to step in and take her away to the funny farm for non-payment of taxes.
"So long as I look good for my closeup..."
