I'm not picking on you for your comment but it keeps coming up on this thread. Not everyone that thinks Marilyn Monroe was fat is a gay man who likes 12 year old boys. Many normal men like myself and even great men like Ronald Reagan like thin women. By no means would I consider Marilyn Monroe an icon of beauty, at one point yes, but that may have been prior to breast augmentation when her attributes were rare.

Beauty is ultimately in the eye of the beholder. It is those who set themselves up as arbitors of beauty (the fashion industry--the majority of which are gay men) who have basically presented the waif as the 'look.'

Sorry if you took offense...I happen to think MM was very pretty (in a movie star, larger than life way).

Thank you for sticking up for us skinny chicks, lol. :) I have been small all my life. Literally, they had to wait to start immunizations for me until I reached 10lbs...and I still wasn't that weight at 6 months. 33lbs at age five, and now at pushing 30,(after five babies) I weigh right around 100lbs, give or take. (Of course, I'm also short at 5'2)

I get tired of being accused of having an eating disorder because I wear a stinkin' size two. My permanent nickname is Miss Skinny...wonder how an overweight person would like it if I called them Miss Fatty. *sigh*

Some people are naturally heavier, and some are naturally thinner...there's room for all sizes of people, imo. Sorry for the rant, but this is a sore spot with me. :)
