It's like that every day in my building - no need to wait for a party. One coworker must single-handedly keep Krispy Kreme afloat. It makes me sick the amount of refined flour, saturated- and trans-fat and sugar that go down people's gullets every single day around there. Which would be fine, it's a free country, but why must they urge it on everyone else? "Oh, live a little!", they mock, not seeing the insane irony in their words. One woman said, " well, at least I'll die happy!" as she took seconds (thirds?) on cream pie. I'd like to take her through the hospital ward where people are dying of heart disease and ask them if they're happy, and if it was worth it.

I don't need food to make me happy. Although I eat a great variety of excellent foods which I enjoy very much.

It kind of takes the mystery out of all the little fat kids you see around these days. If the parents behave that way in an office setting which is completely inappropriate to begin with, imagine the discipline they must show at home.

My husband tells me the same thing but I accuse him of lying.

Mrs. P. reacts the same way. May I solicit your advice on how best to overcome it?

I honestly don't know, I still do it. Dumb, isn't it? My husband follows me around panting like a dog and I have no clue why. I'm 43 years old, have had 5 kids and we've been married 22 years. I can't imagine why he still finds me attractive, but he swears he does and he certainly follows through, it ain't all talk.
