CINDY SHEEHAN ALLIED WITH GROUPS THAT ENDORSE 'IRAQI RESISTANCE'

Antiwar protester Cindy Sheehan who is camped in Crawford, Texas demanding a meeting with President Bush over the death of son, Army Spc. Casey Sheehan, in combat in Iraq has surrounded herself with groups that have endorsed the so-called Iraqi resistance.

Last June, groups opposed to the American-led war to depose the regime of Saddam Hussein gathered in Istanbul to hear testimony before a 'jury of conscience' on charges of war crimes and violations of international law by the United States.

Endorsers of the statement issued by the World Tribunal on Iraq at the end of the conference include Code Pink Women for Peace, United for Peace and Justice and Veterans for Peace; while not a named endorser, Tim Goodrich, co-founder of Iraq Veterans Against the War , testified before the tribunal against his country.

Representatives of these four groups have been at Sheehan's side since she arrived in Crawford August 5.

The lengthy statement issued by the tribunal contains several statements legitimizing the so-called Iraqi Resistance. One reads, "It is the brutality of the occupation that has provoked a strong armed resistance and certain acts of desperation. By the principles embodied in the UN Charter and in international law, the popular national resistance to the occupation is legitimate and justified. It deserves the support of people everywhere who care for justice and freedom."

Another statement by the tribunal denounces the January election in Iraq and the new constitution being constructed by the Iraqi parliament:"Any law or institution created under the aegis of occupation is devoid of both legal and moral authority. The recently concluded election, the Constituent Assembly, the current government, and the drafting committee for the Constitution are therefore all illegitimate."

Code Pink Women for Peace, United for Peace and Justice, Veterans for Peace and Iraq Veterans Against the War, despite what they tell the media in Crawford, are not peace groups. They have taken sides against America and stand with the terrorists killing American soldiers in Iraq. Cindy Sheehan, grieving mother of a fallen G.I., stands with those who stand with our enemies.

Great Find.

I was trying to figure out who the vile white guy behind the evil America Hating Conyers was. It is the old Commie Tom Hayden.

"Hold the phone! Check out the top photo in Zacs Mom's post: who is standing behind Charles Rangel? IT IS TOM HAYDEN FONDA!! Before I saw this photo, I was wondering who Cindy resembles -- IN EVERY WAY -- it's Tom Hayden!!! They are twins separated at birth!"

"his woman is not just wacko, she's dangerous. I'm starting to have bad thoughts (God forgive me) that she wanted something to happen to Casey so she could get up on this soapbox. She's as evil as Tom and Jane."

Hey there Cindy, whatcha doing?
I see you got emotional problems
And your anger is showing
What's that you say, whatcha you want to do
Begging George Bush, just to meet with you

Whatcha gonna tell'em, how he killed that young man
About Iraq, and all his evil war plans
I know what you are now, but you wouldn't understand
Cause your brain is fried, like an egg in a pan

You want us to care, but your gett'en really scary
And the man you loved, says he doesn't want to be married
You hooked up with the left to give George a right cross
With a bunch of wacko's, that can't understand that they lost

And when the party is over, and you realize you lost your man
Your son is still dead, and your life is in the can
Just remember that he died with honor, and you took it all away
Just because you thought you had something rotten to say

We tried to stop you, we did the best that we can
FReepers showed up from all over the land
Talking about God, and love for that young man.....

He died for this land, a man, a soldier, a hero, understand?

It's so sad that a mom would use the death of her son to make a political statement. How shameful. I have no sympathy for her, but I am sad that her son died. He is a true hero.

They'll probably tell you that George Washington shouldn't have gone and made the Redcoats mad! (giggle)Or, "King George wasn't bothering them, and they just had to go tweaking his nose, asking for independance!" "We shouldn't have bothered with the "Declaration of Independance", we're much better off as British subjects!", blah,blah,blah....

Dallas Peace Center, sponsor of the Crawford Peace House, publishes the Dallas Peace Times. Here is a typical article in that publication: Who can stop the terrible machine of domination? Plus, more left-wing babble in other links.

Her son had more character than she does. Glad I'm not her son or husband. I would crawl in a hole. Looks like her husband is doing just that.

All those who said Iraq is another Vietnam are now trying their best to fulfill their own prophesy. Just as with Nam it is not enough to be against the war. Rather they see Bush as their enemy. It is a short walk to "the enemy of my enemy is my friend".

Also bear in mind that the left simultaneously embraces the logic of "the friend of my enemy is my enemy". Since America is their enemy so is any American ally. Even after every American soldier has returned from Iraq the "peace" protesters will continue to do everything in their power (may it be limited by the continued vigilance of voting patriots) to undermine our new ally in the Middle East.

If the Cindy Sheehans and the Media Benjamins fail to prevent the success of our military heroes while they are in the field, they will endeavor to rollback and nullify those accomplishments after they have left.

This is the same thing that happened with Vietnam. Direct American involvement in that conflict was ended on the basis of a tacit agreement between "hawks" and "doves" that we would, on the one hand, conclude a peace agreement and withdraw American troops, but on the other would continue to support our allies in Southeast Asia with all necessary aid.

The hawks lived up to their end of this agreement 100 percent. The doves responded with vicious (yet self-righteous) betrayal: slashing aid, preventing enforcement of the Paris peace accords, and deligitimizing South Vietnam and other allies in the region at every opportunity.

It would have been a "tough slog," but the South Vietnamese had a real prospect of successfully managing their own defense at the time America withdrew. By withholding their resources and savaging their self-confidence, the left in America assured that they would fail, and thus willfully rendered waste the American blood and treasure that had been expended to give South Vietnam that chance.

They WILL do it again, if we let them. Sure, the most important thing right now is our troops in the field. But it's not too soon to start warning people that the fight against our enemy's 5th column will not end when our heroes return. Sadly, at that point we must all continue in constant vigilance to assure that their proud accomplishments are not reversed.

There was a time when people who gave aid and comfort to the enemy were prosecuted. You cannot be "supporting the troops" while decrying the "immoral war". The President's people should have a full court press stressing this point even if prosecution is not politically practical.

To me, Cindy is someone I never want to know!
To me, she's the bottom of the barrel!
To me, Cindy Sheehan is evil!

You have a hard time reading, do you?
If you had read the article , and then read my post, you will see that I was calling "groups that allied themselves with the Iraqi resistance" scumbags...and I stand by that comment.
Furthermore, It saddens me deeply that people have to die in the service of our country and it saddens me further that her sons memory will be "the guy who's mother allied with the scumbags that killed him", rather than "a warrior that died in the defense of Democracy". Hell, I'm even sad that her mother had a stroke(I hope not related to the stress of all of this) in a time when Cindy Sheehan is already grieving.
But what saddens me most of all is the weak knee sentiment of a SMALL portion of the country that believes defending America and Democracy is not a noble cause and not worth losing American lives. And the democratic party that would encourage subversive behavior and discredit the efforts of our troops in order to regain power.
Sheehan has had plenty of time to grieve her loss and has even been consoled by our President(a meeting which she went away from with a much different attitude than she has now). Even her family is speaking out against her Fonda-like activism.
So you hold your vile language and bleeding heart for the kool-aid drinking defeatists.
