Open letter to Cindy Sheehan II.

Dear Cindy,
You say this isn't about politics, and that no one asked about yours before your son enlisted or when he was
killed, and that was as it should be,
we are all Americans in this together.
Now you have put yourself on the side of those who enable and abet the ACTUAL killers of your son.
This in itself is reason to question your politics,
but perhaps not your grief, which countless American familieshave had to FACE UP to, in the many struggles our nation has been engaged in through it's history.

Take your politics off your sleeve, let your broken heart
heal, and the nation which shares your pain
will understand and give of itself to you.

Please do not let the venomous voices of those who
would use you for their own political ends,
turn your heart into a bitter cancer
that will eat at you till your dying day.

You say the President killed your son, by sending him
to bring freedom to a mother in Iraq, a mother who may
have seen her son disappear over night into the maw of
the Baathist horror, a mother who may, nay, positively did
love her son as you did yours.

YOUR SON WAS BETRAYED BY THOSE who now whisper seductively in YOUR ear, HE WAS KILLED BY THOSE WHO TOOK STRENGTH FROM THE WORDS AND ACTIONS of those who now counsel you to give your grief to them in support of their cause,
A CAUSE THAT SUPPORTS THOSE WHO KILLED YOUR SON!

Cindy, as a former veteran, my heart goes out to you,
I beg you, please do not sully
the shining memory of your son
he died for his fellow Americans
and no one should ask any less

Let's deal with the second part first:

After a brief chat with the press, Cindy would have traveled back home and the entire affair would have been uncovered by the press on a daily basis by now.

Sorry, but you're pegging the BS Meter and you know it. Based on Sheehan's past actions, here's what would happen:

Bush actual comments in meeting: "Cindy, I'm sorry for your loss, but your son died defending the homeland and trying to save the lives of fellow soldiers. He also gave his life to help free 25 million people. If we followed your request and pulled out now, your son's sacrifice would be useless, because terrorists would gain power over Iraq and stage new attacks from there. I know your grief is devastating, but you are only making it worse by convincing yourself that he died for nothing, when he really laid down his life for his friends. Laura and I will be praying for you."

Sheehan's account to the press of Bush's comments: "My Israeli and Halliburton masters told me to tell you they're liking the look of their stock options since Casey's death. We hope that you understand he died to advance forced fundamentalist Christianity across the planet. We're sorry for your loss, but we'll name a de-gay-ification camp after him when we start building them next year. Thanks for your time, and don't forget...I'M A COWBOY! YEEEEEEEEEEHHHAAAAAAWWWWWW!!! Oh, hey, before you go, would you like some barbecued kitten? It's fresh off the grill, and it's kosher, so my masters the JOOOOOOZ can eat it."

Sheehan would maintain that this is what happened even if 100 witnesses and a videotape of the actual meeting turned up, and claim that anyone who disputed her account was picking on her family, or at least was a Jew.

Imagine that GWB had jogged down to Cindy's tent along with his SS detail the first day she appeared in Crawford and GWB invited her back to the ranch for a "cup of tea".

Why does GWB pay Karl Rove so much money if Karl wasn't smart enough to defuse the Cindy situation earlier?

Hey yeah, what a dummy Karl Rove is! He should have the President meet with an unbalanced anti-Semite who runs with groups that endorse the "Iraqi resistance."
