Report: French journalist kidnapped in Gaza

A journalist working for the French public television station "France 3" was reportedly kidnapped early Monday morning in the Gaza Strip, just as the IDF was shutting down the Kissufim Crossing.

The man, a sound technician reportedly of Algerian origin, was in the Gaza Strip to cover Israel's withdrawal from the region.

According to eyewitnesses, three masked and armed Palestinians ambushed him outside of his Gaza hotel, and then forced him at gunpoint into a waiting vehicle, Israel Radio reported.

"France 3" had reportedly contacted Palestinian security forces to request that they operate to rescue of the hostage. The television station also appealed to the French government to take action to secure the man's rescue.

Gee, what was that then, about 20 minutes of relative peace after the border was closed? I think it might be a new Palestinian record.

The French take security pretty seriously in Europe. This kidnapping caused them to raise their Terror Alert level from Hide to Run. the highest levels are Collaborate and then Surrender.

The television station also appealed to the French government to take action to secure the man's rescue.

What a joke. The kidnap victim will be dead of old age due to endless postering and debate within the government ranks.

I thought the French worked together with the Arabs? Then what's the deal?

Not so, they will pay up. The French have done that before and will do so again.

Oh God... here we go. Doesn't this remind you of Florence Aubenas, the Kidnapped French Journalist in Iraq? She worked for the leftist newspaper Liberation (read:my life's mission is to bring down the USA)

Remember her whimpering that desperate appeal for her life in a video? "I am French. I am a journalist with Liberation. Please help me. My health is very bad. I'm very bad psychologically also....."

Or that other frog reporter Christian Chesnot of Radio France who was kidnapped by the Iraqis? He spent his career trashing the US presence and idolizing the Iraqi "resistance" until they grabbed him. In his Intervew upon release, he said: "we couldn't understand why we were taken hostage for so long, because France was against war." You were taken BECAUSE you country is an international wimp, Pierre!

The french should stick to poodle-clipping, cheese-making and adultery- it not safe out there in the world
