The original American Idol, Pat Boone, is celebrating his 50th year with a career few singers come close to, I am shocked and astounded to learn Pat Boone is absent from his rightful place in the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame. How couId this terrible oversight have occurred? No one alive today is more deserving of this honor than Pat Boone.

I stand corrected and appreciate the details on Bill Haley's Rock Around The Clock, I know his wasn't the original.
A LOT of Pat Boone's HITS were blues songs. I think that qualifies, unless it needs to have a faster or stronger beat.
It is definitely BLUES, though. Not everybody's idea of "authentic," but authentic American music, and Blues nonetheless.
Tell me, who looks more like a hop head?

Au contraire, Never have...never will!
I liked white bucks. Wish I had a pair today. They looked great with a seersucker suit. But they were forever wiped out by patent Cuban heels, kill-'em-in-the-corner points, earth shoes, clownish b-ball and show-them-ugly-toes sandals. (Sigh!)
What about Bobby Vee, Freddie Cannon, Lou Christie, Ben E. King, The Crystals, Johnny Maestro & The Crests? The inclusion processes elude me.
