[history]
Lupe Moreno knows the immigrant struggle. She has lived all her life in Santa Ana, a gateway community for Mexican immigrants. Her father helped smuggle them into the country; her former husband sneaked in illegally.
Now Moreno is part of the growing movement to stem the flow of illegal immigration.

I honestly think the Pubs are misjudging the Hispanic voters in the US..most legals I know are agaist illegal immigration due to competition for jobs, abuse of illegals, and all the money time and effort they had to do to do it legally.

Great gals! Thanks for posting the pics. Maybe we can all meet down in Campo with the Minutemen in October!
To: Ladycalif
They'll learn soon enough that you can't be against illegal immigration without being accused of being a racist and being aginst all immigrants.

Lupe Moreno is a great American. She has
great website.
Here's another great Latino American:
Ramirez, a onetime professional hockey player disabled by multiple sclerosis, said he had waited hours for medical care in hospitals that treat undocumented immigrants.
He believes that people who come to this country illegally consume resources that could improve the lives of legal U.S. residents, including money for health and education.

I love to read stories like this. It reaffirms my belief that we have alot of support among "minorities" for this cause.

Another 'spiked' story that the MSM would not print or broadcast.
The differences:
1. These "Latinos" ,Also Known As (AKA)Americans, don't identify with the "Culture" in the Third World.
2. They are either born here or are LEGAL immigrants.
Anybody, what happens when you are in a line (Shopping Center, Movie Theater, At the Airline Terminal, and someone " Cuts in"? It really angers you, doesn't it?
The Illegals are shoving the fact that they are here into the American and Legal Immigrant's faces. Wouldn't you be pissed off?

During the Minuteman operation in Arizona, Jorge became its spokesman to the Spanish-language media and frequently he defended himself to reporters.
Latino activists have popped up elsewhere around the country, organizing their own Minuteman brigades and complaining about the effect of undocumented immigrants on local communities.
Rosana Pulido of Chicago, the 49-year-old grandchild of Mexican immigrants, spent four days with the Minuteman patrol in Arizona and is now organizing Latino activists to fight illegal immigration.
"I think there are lot of people who are surprised that I'm doing this," Pulido said. "But I feel I'm getting a lot of support, not totally from Hispanics, but from people who realize that no matter where you come from, you need to be here legally."
THIS WAS THE ARTICLE IN THE LA TIMES EARLIER EDITION!!
I had to write the LA Times and tell them I am not organizing Latinos.
Jennifer interviewed me for this months ago and really got her facts screwed up!!!

I own a multiple lines insurance agency. One day one of my long time Hispanic clients was in the office, and I asked his views. He became very incensed, and let me know in no uncertain terms he and his friends were against illegals. I thought I would investigate further, and so I called a friend of mine who is a pastor in Texas. He stated his denomination has churches in which the legals sit on one side and the illegals on the other side. They will not even speak to each other. Clearly the administration and our Congressmen have missed the mark. However, I believe this has been on purpose and now we see token actions against illegals, but the border is still wide open.

Instead, Mrs. Clinton pandered to the liberal crowd and received a standing ovation when she announced a new bill that would guarantee in-state college tuition rates for the children of illegal immigrants as well as amnesty to some 65,000 illegal immigrant students who graduate from U.S. high schools each year. Patti Solis Doyle, Mrs. Clinton's chief political strategist and a Mexican-American, told Democratic friends that the speech was a smashing success.
Now we know where Hillary really stands on border protection.

However, I believe this has been on purpose and now we see token actions against illegals, but the border is still wide open. It's all about cheap labor and selling stuff. Neither party cares, because they both seem to be representing corporate interests.
Ever notice how carefully crafted votes like CAFTA are? It's like they sit in a back room and decide who (either party) can most likely get away with voting for stuff their constituents hate, and still get re-elected.

Could it be that these individuals of Hispanic heritage are Americans first while still proud of their American heritage rather than pushing for us to be like the failed state of Mexico? You mean there is an American civilization after all, and we are all part of it while still being proud of our ethnic heritages? Someone clue in the MSM.
