Wonderful pic of the REAL USS Jimmy Carter! Is that himself in the picture, scouting for mad, man-eating rabbits?

Now I see the reasoning, Jimmy wanted his own sub to get that killer rabbit after his paddle failed him.
To: Theresawithanh
This is the picture that started the whole thing. Yes, that is carter in his boat using his oar to scare off the rabbit.

From the article:
The USS Jimmy Carter is the most heavily armed submarine ever built Hardly. Any one of the Trident class missile boats is by itself more heavily armed than every country on earth except the U.S and Russia.

Did they weld shut the torpedo and missle launcher hatches for him like he made them do under his administration?

Doom. Why would anyone agree to get on a boat with that name?

Yep. And Carter was probably cruising for a boyfriend while underway. He liked to hang out with Yasser Arafat, ya know!

They should have left him down there.
Why? This old "Christian" hypocrite is a poster child for Democratic incompetence.

the sub levels the playing field, otherwise there is no way peanut brain could prevail

Hey, it was a mean, hungry, "swamp rabbit." Them things can eat their weight in carrots. Jimmuh was fortunate to have that oar with which to frighten off the rascal.
The funniest thing about that whole absurd incident was that the President of the United States actually released pictures showing how the rabbit had been approaching his boat. Jimmuh and his advisers were so stupid that they didn't realize that it would make him appear to be an even bigger idiot.

The UK has 4 Vanguard class nuc subs each armed with 16 Trident II D-5 missles.
That puts them fairly high up on the BA scale.

I stand corrected. I had forgotten about the Brits getting their hands on the D-5. I guess I'm getting senile in my old age.

The USS Jimmy Carter is the most heavily armed submarine ever built What for? Carter was useless as Commander in Chief. They should have built him a grain scow to ship peanuts to Darfur.

Had Gerald Ford not been a part of the Nixon admin, this moron wouldv'e never had a snowballs chance in hell winning in '76. Bubba Clinton doesn't even come close to continually proving himself as huge an embarrassment as this guy.
To: presidio9
I would be ashamed to serve aboard a boat bearing that name. I can just imagine the derision that the crew members will receive.
