Taking them off the air would serve no purpose. At least we can watch what they're saying [by 'we' I obviously don't include myself in that...] Also, for all their faults, Al Jazeerah is the best example of a freerer Arab world that we can currently muster.

I've been asking myself that same question since the first beheading videos. The place and everyone in it deserve... remaining comments self censored.

Because they are useful even if they are annoying occasionally. Note that even though they don't annoy their homer base Qatar they do interview democracy activists for the rest fo the Arab world, they were the first major middle eastern media to allow Israeli government figures to come on and defend their actions and thewy regularly interview US government figures.
