I have never been divorced, but don't you have some time between when it is filed and when the person is served?

This (assuming it is legit) says it was filed on Friday, August 12th. Perhaps she hasn't been served yet? I doubt the CA courts chase down people who are out of the state to serve them divorce papers. Perhaps she doesn't even know?

However, I must say that their phrasing ("without kids") seems to me to be very unprofessional.
