Ex-CNN president arrives in North Korea

SEOUL, Aug. 13 (Yonhap) -- Former CNN President Ted Turner arrived in North Korea Saturday, heading a 10-member delegation that included a U.S. congressman, the North's media reported.

Turner flew to the North's capital, Pyongyang, with Curt Weldon, a Republican congressman from Pennsylvania, and former U.S. Ambassador to South Korea Donald Gregg, the Korean Central News Agency said in a brief report.

The group is scheduled to visit South Korea Aug. 15-18. Their itinerary in South Korea includes a meeting with former President and Nobel peace laureate Kim Dae-jung.

The KCNA report gave no other details but Gregg said in New York before the trip that he and others in his group wanted to discuss the deadlocked six-nation talks on the communist country's nuclear weapons program.

Turner has shown keen interest in develop the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) bisecting the two Koreas into a peace park, said Lee Tae-ha, a representative of the DMZ Forum's Seoul Office.

The DMZ Forum is a New York-based nongovernmental organization founded by Korean Americans to preserve natural beauty and environment in the border area which has been virtually untouched since the Korean War ended in 1953.

North Korea invited Turner to discuss his proposal to turn the DMZ into an international epitome of ecological peace, Lee said. It was Turner's first trip to the Korean Peninsula.

*** THE LOONS OF THE LEFT RISE UP AGAIN ***

Maybe, if we are lucky, the North Koreans will take Turner hostage with a ransom of all his bucks!!! HHAAAAAA! Sweet justice for these loons of the left...

Yep, and with no indication of where he was,
as I recall.

They can have the children engage in an annual hunt
for mines, since after a half century, no one is
quite sure where they all are. The deer sometimes
find them. And be careful not to fall into any
collapsed PRK-built infiltration and invasion tunnels,
kids.

Something stinks here. Turner was probably on that flight to how should we say, negotiate with Weldon on the newly exposed 15 boxes plus. Deals must go down to save Clintoon, Hamburger, LickGore, Reno, Hamilton, Gorton, R.B.Veniste, etc.. Only some low end DU side clerks should be offered up, but none higher.

You could leave Ted Turner just about anywhere these days as long as you put a drool bib on him and make sure he gets his medication. He likes to have arguments with inanimate objects right after watching Scooby Doo during happy hour at the clinic.

Yes it does. I hope Weldon is protected from any form of Arkancide...a form a suicide that seems to take people that know to much, or ask the wrong questions, about the Clintoni mob....he was on Fox this morning...I listened to his pitch, he is on to the 9/11 Commission scam and the protection of Clinton...

Don't be so sure. What the elite says and what the elite thinks are two different things.
