All we are saying is give peas a chance
All we are saying is give peas a chance

War! - huh- yeah-
What is it good for?
Absolutely nothing
Uh-huh
War! – huh – yeah-
What is it good for?
Absolutely nothing
Say it again y’all
War! – huh – good God
What is it good for?
Absolutely nothing
Listen to me…

All we are saying is give peas a chance
All we are saying is give peas a chance

Yes, how many times must a man look up
Before he can see the sky ?
Yes, how many ears must one man have
Before he can hear people cry ?
Yes, how many deaths will it take till he knows
That too many people have died ?
The answer my friend is blowin' in the wind
The answer is blowin' in the wind.

All we are saying is give peas a chance
All we are saying is give peas a chance

Where have all the young men gone?
Long time passing
Where have all the young men gone?
Long time ago
Where have all the young men gone?
Gone for soldiers every one
When will they ever learn?
When will they ever learn?

Where have all the soldiers gone?
Long time passing
Where have all the soldiers gone?
Long time ago
Where have all the soldiers gone?
Gone to graveyards every one
When will they ever learn?
When will they ever learn?

All we are saying is give peas a chance
All we are saying is give peas a chance

Every time we humans try to control nature, she shows us the parts of the equation we hadn't thought about.

Precisely why socialism does not work!

Native Americans could not understand how the white man could "sell" land that belonged to the Great Spirit.,

That is what keeps Africans from prosperity, the lack of land ownership. It gives one a sense of control, IMHO.

I sure wish the socialists would stop telling me what to do, because they haven't thought out all my equations!:-)

"...That is what keeps Africans from prosperity, the lack of land ownership. It gives one a sense of control, IMHO."

And then there is the story of the Masai tribe that gave 20 head of cattle to New York right after 9/11...they gave of the wealth of their land, from one tribe to another. Very impressive, in my book.

Gasp!

We better call Bob! And Tuliptree! And 'Face!

I hate math, and that's a good thing, because it is a recriprocal arrangement.

;-)

(Woo-hoo! I just spelled recriprocal correctly!! My Dad would be so proud! *shining* )

"Do they not think humans are also part of Nature?"

Strange, is it not? They suffer gloriously from the same conceit that Victorian explorers did, the feeling that they were above the beasts.

This seems to be an emotional reaction. "I am not an animal!" usually given as part of what might pass for a primal scream.

What the heck is wrong with being an animal? It's much better than being a machine, or a rock.

Or a liberal.

Very impressive.

I was very touched by their generosity too.

:-)

(OK. I blew 'generosity', but my Dad wasn't looking.)

Yessir. I still get cold chills when I think of it. The film about it is nothing less than amazing.

There's the rub.

Math and money both hate me, and I hate them back for being so mean.

Sometimes these relationship things are less than they're cracked up to be.

OTOH, recriprocal is spelled reciprocal , and now I have discovered, in a manner beyond my wildest fears, that spelling also hates me!
