Generally, any electronic system designed to replicate the manifestation of human intelligence; the ultimate goal being a system that has bona fide intelligence of it's own. For our purposes, the castle system posesses bona fide human intellectual capabilities; a first in history.

A roasting?
Most of the cattle crossings that I've seen are on dirt roads in the mountains, used for keeping the cattle (mostly Herefords) in the summer grazing pastures. They have to be moved out before the hunts, but not all of them make it.
Wolves in the Rockies were killed by the thousands, and then, (gloriosky) elk herds were eating the feed for the cattle. They became a nuisance. Then they began to get sick, and the farmers were afraid the diseases would be transferred to the cattle.
Then someone suggested introducing wolf packs into the Rockies again. Guess what? The elk are being killed off as they become old, injured, or ill, and the cattle are, for the most part, allowed to live peacefully.
If we upset nature's balance, we will pay for it. That's not to say I'm going to go tie myself to a tree to keep a paper company from cutting it down, but I do believe we are stewards of the earth, and it is our job to take care of our animals and our plants. That's the only way they can provide us with what we need. (And I love FUR! I love to wear it. And I love to feel it and see it.)

It's an ongoing project. I believe there are four wolf packs in Yellowstone National Park, and there are others in other National Forests, but only where they were indigenous.
Lots of the ranchers were afraid for their cattle, but the cattle are not the natural prey of the wolf. Several of the Native American Reservations have adopted wolf packs as well, so the program is doing fine.
IIRC: A zombie roast is just about the ONLY way to be rid of them so, yes, a roast would be good, and very primal.
NNB, you wanna work with Tulip to schedule the roast; time, location, dress code, and ping the UT community? Also, since the AI is embedded in all of the automated castle systems, you've got to sign off on any "punishment" meted out to it. Perhaps it shouldn't be quite the equal of an actual human intellect; perhaps reprogram it as a savant in desireable areas but totally incapable otherwise?

That's why we've made provision for multitudes of animals and plants to accompany us on our journey to Mars, and wherever else we choose to go. We're not just taking supplies; we're taking our ecology along with us.

It's the enviro-nuts who think that humans are the sabots in the machine. They seem to honestly believe that the world would be better without humans. Maybe, but who would know? The best course is the middle ground.
For centuries we pushed against Nature. Of late, we've learned that Nature can push back. After a bit of jostling against each other, we've settled down to an uneasy truce. Just don't turn your back.

Native Americans could not understand how the white man could "sell" land that belonged to the Great Spirit. They could also not understand who gave white man the "authority" to take the land from the Indians, since the Indians were only stewards in the first place.
