All we are saying is give peas a chance
All we are saying is give peas a chance
Yes, how many times must a man look up
Before he can see the sky ?
Yes, how many ears must one man have
Before he can hear people cry ?
Yes, how many deaths will it take till he knows
That too many people have died ?
The answer my friend is blowin' in the wind
The answer is blowin' in the wind.
All we are saying is give peas a chance
All we are saying is give peas a chance
Where have all the young men gone?
Long time passing
Where have all the young men gone?
Long time ago
Where have all the young men gone?
Gone for soldiers every one
When will they ever learn?
When will they ever learn?
Where have all the soldiers gone?
Long time passing
Where have all the soldiers gone?
Long time ago
Where have all the soldiers gone?
Gone to graveyards every one
When will they ever learn?
When will they ever learn?
All we are saying is give peas a chance
All we are saying is give peas a chance
We would never beat the Spitfire! (Soviet era technology here)
What's that, about 425 knots?
Gent in Fla has a bright yellow one and plays havoc with the local dogfighters in their Marchetti SF260's. They'll be on their way to or from and he'll drop in on their formation from 5,000 ft. up shouting "guns-guns-guns-guns!" into the radio. Then it's "Bandit! Six o'clock high" and they break formation as he knifes right through the middle of them. Of course, they regroup and put on a good show of going after him, but there's really no hope with all the power he's got. He just rolls up the power, reaches for the sky and shows 'em her tail.
All the company pilots down there know the guy and it's an occasional "extra" for the paying customers to get "action" from a bona fide warbird like that.
Okay... I'm back (again)!
I'm also exhausted.
Qill do, Face. Always been a huge history buff. As Faulkner said: History is not was; it's "is".
Wish I'd said it first though :D
DANG, HK...that sounds FUN!!!
Would not blame you for been exhausted, reading what you read here tonight!
It's OK, Ms Tulip...it's Friday night for some of us...
A chance would be a fine thing!
Yah...history is actually never new...all we feel and all we "know" has always been here. It's "new" because we haven't experienced it before. Riverboats, however, may be the exception...;o]
I am playing hell, am I not!!
LOL! I was exhausted before I got here though.
You are BAD whenever you show up! And you need to check your FReepmail!
"The only new thing is the history you don't know."
Harry S. Truman
Is it Brian Faulkner you speak of?
Been a rough day, huh?
I'm sorry...I shoulda known...
Friday night is supposed to be the night where we go out and party until 2 am.
Not anymore...
I am worried.....
LOL!
I have read several of his daughters' books...I always think the child is a composite of the parents...which is why I have been so careful with my kids...;o]
I don't like matchlocks or other primitive firearms.
I did give her the fish-eye and say "remind me to never make a rifle stock for you."
bear in mind - this is the same woman who desires to own a Saiga-12 kalashnikov shotgun...
*shaking head in amusement*
William Faulkner. Great writer if you can get through the run on sentences LOL
