All we are saying is give peas a chance
All we are saying is give peas a chance
War! - huh- yeah-
What is it good for?
Absolutely nothing
Uh-huh
War! huh yeah-
What is it good for?
Absolutely nothing
Say it again yall
War! huh good God
What is it good for?
Absolutely nothing
Listen to me
All we are saying is give peas a chance
All we are saying is give peas a chance
Yes, how many times must a man look up
Before he can see the sky ?
Yes, how many ears must one man have
Before he can hear people cry ?
Yes, how many deaths will it take till he knows
That too many people have died ?
The answer my friend is blowin' in the wind
The answer is blowin' in the wind.
All we are saying is give peas a chance
All we are saying is give peas a chance
Where have all the young men gone?
Long time passing
Where have all the young men gone?
Long time ago
Where have all the young men gone?
Gone for soldiers every one
When will they ever learn?
When will they ever learn?
Where have all the soldiers gone?
Long time passing
Where have all the soldiers gone?
Long time ago
Where have all the soldiers gone?
Gone to graveyards every one
When will they ever learn?
When will they ever learn?
All we are saying is give peas a chance
All we are saying is give peas a chance
Thanks.
there was no antisemitism or overt racism in the post which served as Tiamat's final straw.
there has been a large amount of thinly veiled racism regarding the looters and the NOLA survivors in general.
there has been a fair amount of antisemitism from the resurgent Buchananites lately.
the last straw, for Tiamat, was the "oh, look, see the sinners get fubar by God's Wrath" in that post (and all over that thread).
Tiamat is gone?
That's unfortunate. I liked her. (her, right?)Maybe she'll be back after the dust has settled.
I'm lurking on many threads, but not posting too much with tempers so high.
But the level of nastiness is definitely up there. I've even seen some of it appear on the Traditional Anglican threads (which will go to a completely different and FR-free format if it gets worse -- which would be a real shame, because we get some very interesting ecumenical discussions at times).
Tax-Chick, I've seen your pings but the threads have been pulled before I could get there.
I'm getting pissed off myself at the bigotry that still exists between Christians - it saddened me to see some FReepers calling Benedict XI the Antichrist! Decent Anglicans, such as yourself, realize that the Pope is a good man, and I'm a supporter of ecumenicism between Christians - after all ecumenicism is doing God's work - Christians debating, attempting to arrive at the truth!
I like Ann's rubber dress!
On my only pass of the posts I didnt see anything to blow a gasket over. But with the synergistic effect that reading multiple threads about the same and different topics, and responding to many different topics and different posters, I have seen un-intentional flair ups over mistaken points of view increase as of late. I have also seen an increase in those that will take advantage of this and twist what people say to incite anger in others, then use it against them. Nothing new, really, I may just be noticing it more due to the increase in FReeper population and the FUBARness of the New Orleans and Sheehan situations.
All that , and I know I can only handle people talking out of their ass for so long before its time to unload on them.
I am currently trying to stay immersed in my theraputic grade lavender oil( with touches of myrrh, marjoram, and blue tansy) and keep as level head as I can.
You won't leave, will you?
:-(
I need a round tuit.
Got any?
Ahh, the fragrance of our finest brew wafting on the breeze has led me home, again.
Nice digs. Who picked this one, you?
It'll do for a month, at least, and it'll be better when we're done with it than it is today.
Hey! Did YOU know...
Quantum field theory is plagued with infinities, which show up in diagrams in which virtual particles go in closed loops. Normally these infinities can be gotten rid of by "renormalization," in which infinite "counterterms" cancel the infinite parts of the diagrams, leaving finite results for experimentally observable quantities. Renormalization works for QED and the other field theories used to describe particle interactions, but it fails when applied to gravity. Graviton loops generate an infinite family of counterterms. The theory ends up with an infinite number of free parameters, and it's no theory at all. Other approaches to quantum gravity are needed, and they might not describe static fields with virtual gravitons.
Isn't that intriguing??

And that's good!
I had one, but I gave it to my son when he moved out...;o]
Good afternoon. :-)
What is a tuit?
Certainly no plan to!
You heard the term, "I'll get that done when I get around to it?" Well, the Tuit is a round piece of wood about 3/4" thick and 4" across with "TUIT" on it. ;o]
LOL!
