All we are saying is give peas a chance
All we are saying is give peas a chance
War! - huh- yeah-
What is it good for?
Absolutely nothing
Uh-huh
War! huh yeah-
What is it good for?
Absolutely nothing
Say it again yall
War! huh good God
What is it good for?
Absolutely nothing
Listen to me
All we are saying is give peas a chance
All we are saying is give peas a chance
Yes, how many times must a man look up
Before he can see the sky ?
Yes, how many ears must one man have
Before he can hear people cry ?
Yes, how many deaths will it take till he knows
That too many people have died ?
The answer my friend is blowin' in the wind
The answer is blowin' in the wind.
All we are saying is give peas a chance
All we are saying is give peas a chance
Where have all the young men gone?
Long time passing
Where have all the young men gone?
Long time ago
Where have all the young men gone?
Gone for soldiers every one
When will they ever learn?
When will they ever learn?
Where have all the soldiers gone?
Long time passing
Where have all the soldiers gone?
Long time ago
Where have all the soldiers gone?
Gone to graveyards every one
When will they ever learn?
When will they ever learn?
All we are saying is give peas a chance
All we are saying is give peas a chance
And what nice pins they are. Or so I've heard.
[raspberry!]
ttyl, Face
PINS, mon - connector pins
I managed, somehow, to crush one pin on the HD connector when I reinstalled my secondary drive, cause much needless panic. fortunately the ribbon has 3 other connectors on it, so no biggie.
Yes, they ARE nice pins...probably because of all the dance classes I took, then all the dancing I did...
And THANKS! I didn't think you'd notice!
This thread's like the last two seconds of an eBay auction every time a '000 comes around.
Thanks! Later to you, too!
;o]
you should see what happens when a Quad-0 comes up
A Quad-0 must be everything but the return of the Prophet Zarquon. Alas, with monthly migrations, we may never see one again.
Never having been on eBay, I can't relate to that, but I've missed the last whole bunch of them. Since we've had to go to shorter threads, the 000's are a little harder to come by.
I feel good if I get a palindromic number or something that is "odd" like 2345 or 3333 or something...of course, KP likes those, too.
Yah, for the quad 0's, EVERYone showed up. And it was hard to even post.
Gotta go...new CPU is here....
LOL!
A MONTH of sick leave?
Geez, where do I apply for those jobs? (dreaming)
Unlike a REAL auction, which doesn't end until nobody's willing to bid up anymore, eBay auctions end at a specific, predetermined time. That facilitates a rather cut-throat technique known as "sniping" where a bidder will sit by watching other bidders nudge each other out of the top bid then, with only two or three second left, drop in a bid that beats the latest high bid by just a small percentage, which usually amounts to a couple of bucks.
I think eBay is pretty stupid to run it that way. Both they and the people who sell on eBay could make more money if they would simply allow every auction to continue after time has expired as long as there is still active bidding going on. "Active bidding" could be defined to mean that someone somewhere drops in a higher bid within 30 seconds. If 30 seconds elapse with no new bids, THEN the auction would end and the item would go to the current high bidder. I'd be willing to bet that eBay would see more activity that they have now if they'd make that kind of a change; and they could even skim a premium off of the amount that items got bid up between the expiration time and the time the last bid got placed and everyone would STILL be happier.
The weather is beautiful and cool, and I found out that I have been accepted to get training to work next fire season (not as fire line worker, but as a status/check in clerk, an entry level position) as a call on demand person.
This is good. Sometimes it's hard to find someone to let you get your foot through the door. Now I have to figure out how to fill out the paperwork!
I didn't. *sigh*
Coffee for me. : )
that be true; it was you.
poor Barneys. : )
Coffee is always good.
Yes....any kind, any time, always hits the spot (except for undiluted espresso...too too strong for me)
Undiluted expresso is asking for a hefty dose of foamed milk...cappuchino, my favorite coffee! The real stuff, not the gas station faux cappuchino (although I like that too.)
Coming from New Orleans, I like my coffee strong. In Utah, it gets hard to find strong coffee. This is why I have a coffee grinder and a good supply of beans....
