THE report of the 9/11 commission, once a best seller and hailed by the news media as the definitive word on the subject, must now be moved to the fiction shelves.
The commission concluded, you'll recall, that the attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon couldn't have been prevented, and that if there was negligence, it was as much the fault of the Bush Administration (for moving slowly on the recommendations of Clinton counterterrorism chief Richard Clarke) as of the Clinton administration.
Able Danger has changed all of that.
The 9/11 commission wrote history as it wanted it to be, not as it was. The real history of what happened that terrible September day has yet to be written.

Should be renamed "Enable Danger" since that's what it did.
wow, nice article. Way to go Mr. Kelly
Does anyone think that this Clinton Admin Scandal will grow legs and FINALLY get the BIG 2(Hill and Bill)?
The 9-11 Report: "Fake but Accurate."
The new revelation is that Klinton knew a lot and did everything possible to cover it up.
On top of that, there is now even more information that Iraq might have been a player in 9-11. Looks like the Dims and MSM have a lot of mud to sling to try to cover this gem up.
Yes, interesting that the 9/11 commission spiked this information because it didn't agree with their pre-disposed position....blame Bush and ensure no ties to Iraq were uncovered. What exactly did Mr. Berger steal from the archives?
I hope we don't get ahead of this story, but it sure has all the smell test of a cover up. NRO - Buckley people say that Repbulcians got POed taht the White House didn't shower them with documents, so they built a wall around the Gorelick memo and other members of the commission including the investigators. Now we see that "the two walls" may have been - repeat -- may have been - the real problem. history will tell.
I want to know the name(s) of "commission staff"!
I also want names of Justice Dept. officials that told Able Danger it could not inform the FBI.
We-The People deserve names!
I just heard that Weldon will be on the Fox News Live show that starts at noon today. I think Brian Wilson is subbing for Tony today. Don't know exactly what time Weldon will be on, but it should be worth watching.
not what but who instructed mr. burglar (oops i mean berger) to go rip off these files.
a)the beast
b)slick willie
c)a certain democrat member of the 9/11 commission
The History Channel (or perhaps Discovery...can't recall) is doing a series on 9/11 BASED on the 9/11 Commission Report....wonder how they feel now that they know they have spent BIG BUCKS to propagate the Commission white wash?
USA TODAY:
http://www.usatoday.com/news/2004-03-18-2004-03-18_kelleymain_x.htm
Seven weeks into an examination of former USA TODAY reporter Jack Kelleys work, a team of journalists has found strong evidence that Kelley fabricated substantial portions of at least eight major stories, lifted nearly two dozen quotes or other material from competing publications, lied in speeches he gave for the newspaper and conspired to mislead those investigating his work.
Actually, it seems that the Able Danger people were doing a very good job. So good, in fact, that they had to be prevented from being really effective by the Clinton administration.
another pulitzer prize nominee
This Jack Kelly re-cap of last week is excellent. thank you for getting it to us.
Spelling is different: Kelly vs. Kelley
If these revelations did nothing more that knock the stuffings out of the preening Commission members, Hamilton and Keane especially, it would be good, but I am hoping for much more than just that.
the likelihood that Saddam's regime was involved in, or at least had foreknowledge of, the 9/11 attacks. And that would have been as uncomfortable for Democrats as the revelation that 9/11 could have been prevented if it hadn't been for the Clinton administration's wall of separation.
Just another thing we OWE the ClintonS.
