Should the Iranians (Persians) be concerned about the Kurds? If so why?

Tanks moving into Mahabad

Today the Islamic Republic placed tanks in central Mahabad.
According to a Kurdish website tanks are moving into Mahabad. Mahabad is one of the most important places in Kurdish history.

Pictures of tanks moving into the city have been placed on the kurdisch website www.mahabad.org. The army has surrounded the Kurdisch towns: Sne, Seqz, Sablax, Bane and Shno.

Local Citizens claim to have heard the soldiers speaking in Turkish language. The Kurdisch human rights watch organization (KHRW) now states that more than 70 people died in the recent uprising in Rojhalat.

They are all Iranians living in one country called Iran.

Shouldn't we be worried about people in other parts of the states?

It is confusing. It's hard to know if there are Turkish mercenaries, of if these reports of speaking kurdish are just meant to inflame

It means that regime brings troops from turkish part of Iran (They speak Azeri, not turkish) to suppress the local protestors.

The Kurds are an ethnic group that overlap existing national boundaries. There are a large number in western Iran. The Kurds have sought an independent state since World War I, and the increased autonomy of that portion of the group which lives in Iraq could possibly lead to unrest and/or repression in Iran,Turkey, and Syria as well.

sorry it doenst meant to inflame.

Mahabad the Kurdish City been included in "Azerbaijan Province" in Iran (instead of being in Kurdistan Province)
and that city is controlled by Iranian Turks , and it is pretty normal that Turk governor ask Turk sodiers to kill Kurds (as they are more fierce toward Kurds)
