WASHINGTON -- The 9/11 commission discounted as vague and unreliable a report its staff received last summer that some of the terrorist hijackers had been holed up in Brooklyn as early as 1999, the panel said in a statement issued last night.

"None of the documents turned over to the Commission mention Mohammed Atta or any of the other future hijackers. Nor do any of the staff notes on documents ... indicate that Mohammed Atta or any of the other future hijackers were mentioned in any of those documents," the statement said.

1. Missing documents (Berger's destruction of Able Danger and Atta references in the National Archives)
2. Staff notes not including references to Atta (Gorelick-directed coverup)
From Weldon:
"The 9/11 Commission has released multiple statements over the past week, each of which has significantly changed -- from initially denying ever being briefed to acknowledging being briefed on both operation Able Danger and Mohammed Atta," he said.
The can't even connect the dots about the past, yet the accuse the President of not connecting them about the future.
#1. So now it's that Able Danger had information only "only" Atta.
Since when is information on the mastermind a small thing?
#2. Curt Weldon disputes this fourth version of the 9/11 Commission ... that they only got briefed one time.
He said in a statement released on FR today that the Commission was briefed 3 times.
#3. Why did Gorelick, who was given the charge of culling through information decide not to release the Able Danger information to the full Commission?
#4. Why was the woman responsible for the wall given responsiblity herself for deciding which information could be shared with the full Commission?
#5. Why has the Commission changed their story 4 times in a week?
The truth which both parties for some reason wanted to hide was the fact that Slick's Administration could have and should have saved over 3000 lives on that Sept. 11.
AlGore and his invention had made one thing perfectly clear, Old Media Bias and all, the truth will still come out!
They might actually be telling the truth here, Bill Clinton style. I heard from a source close to Congressman Weldon that the documents actually refer to a Muslim male terrorist by the name of "M.Atta." Who would've thunk that the M stood for Mohammed?
Holy cripes!
I attended a recent book-signing for Weldon.
He showed us two charts, one that was identical to the one in 1999 and one that was more recent.
The one in 1999 had indeed shown 4 of the hijackers and had links to 19 other Al-quaeda members.
And this was compiled using the open source information available at the time.
He then showed another poster, more recently collected from open source info...this one had over 1000 photos and lines connecting them like a huge coporate organization chart. Our collective jaws just dropped.
Talk about connecting the dots..this technology to do this is damn good.
BTTT
Build their gallows high
It gets curiouser and curiouser. Kean and Hamilton should be ashamed of themselves--if not for the outright lies they've perpetrated this week, then at least for lying so poorly.
The other explanations are "no longer operative."
This coming AFTER Atta and cohorts flew the planes into our building.
So that's a logical excuse?????????
Are they all on LSD?
The 9/11 panel misled and lied to the American people. All of its members should go to jail and pay restitution to the government.
Cover your ass, dudes!
Rep. Curt Weldon said today on Fox News that there are 15 unexamined boxes of documents(!), and now 11 witnesses(!!), (NOT just 1), who are willing to testify under oath.
He also is calling for 9/11 Staffers to be questioned under oath re: their evident negligence, &/or close-mindedness, &/or cover-up behavior, and/or stonewalling.
P.S. Under little-known but established US Supreme Court-sanctioned precedent, Jamie Gorelick, as a former Federal bureaucrat, can & should be sued civilly for gross dereliction of duty, for contributory negligence and culpability in 3,000 deaths (& counting), and for gross negligence as the DOJ "Wall of Separation" memo author, which greatly & unconscionably expanded the "letter of the law" to, in effect, protect spies and terrorists.
This in turn may lead to other higher up Clinton Administration officials being revealed as complicit or culpable under discovery, deposition and courtroom testimony. Certainly the infamous Gorelick DOJ memo was consistent with the highly cautious and overly legalistic approach of the Clinton Administration (& The Clinton White House) toward National Security, espionage, and terrorism issues.
How about the commissioners? Is Weldon calling for them to testify under oath as well?
