A ping list is a group of names that you copy into the "to:" line to make a whole bunch of people aware of a particular thread or post.

By the way, FreeRepublic is not a blog...it is an online gathering place for conservatives dedicated to maintaining our constitution and outing thoise who would destroy it, particularly on the left. Jim Robinson owns trhe site, but hundreds of thousands visit it every day to get ther news and to plan activism events (like this rally in Crawford Texas tomorrow).
